To be honest i wouldn't miss him if he went to Chester, yes he may score around 10 a season but he is not consistent and his crossing is naff,i would hope that Peters could find a better long term option.

You've got to be hoping Peters can find a better option long term than quite a lot of the current squad. Most of them are inconsistent, that is why they are at our level. But that said I prefer the ones that are inconsistent that can actually score some goals

Others are more consistant players then Lowe, doubt he will go, Chester are playing games, they have put in loads of bids lately for players that they were never going to get, Jevons for example, what are they trying to prove and to whom?

Old business trick. By putting in "bids" they are giving the impression that funds are available & the club is going places. Keeps the supporters happy and any creditors quiet for now.

except they seem to be over egging it.
i think a lot of people view a chester bid as a load of cobblers.
Especially when Vaughn goes running to the press before he's even pressed the send button on his fax machine

Read between the lines on Gary P interview.
Chester have offered a player - not money. STFC not interested in this.
If cash is available they will listen - we have no choice but to given that Lowe is not a first 11 pick, Gary wants new players but we are right on the wage cap.
It would be a shame to see him go.
Darby (who did ok tonight again - but missed more chances) looks a physical wreck, we need to be careful with Langmead which leaves us with only Grant and Rodgers.

Seems he told the local rag that he would be faxing a cash and midfielder swap offer later in the day. GP said after the match that no offer had been made I hear.

I dont like Chester's way of conducting their transfer buisness, making their offers so public. I'd let Lowe go if the right offer came in, but I wouldnt sell him to any club in the bottom half of League 2 right now.

I reckon they must be really in the poo financially somewhere and all this talk of transfers is just to placate people and give them more security not one player they have bid for yet was a realistic target, except maybe Lowe

If they can make an offer of 100K for a player (who does not want to join them), it follows that we could expect a good price from them for Lowe, but then when we look at the offer for Tolley that they made recently it makes you wonder what they are up to. Certain threads on Deva Chat suggest that a lot of these publicised offers are to take the focus away from their true financial position.

I think that is the case they bid a lot for a player who would not want to join them and bid peanuts for a player who they may have a chance of signing I always thought the point of making a bid was to get the player they had no chance with any fo these "offers", and the only real "offers" mad were Vaughan talking big in the press it just doesn't stack up

Anybody else think that Ryan is a confidence player - if the first few touches are good he is superb, if he gets down on himself early in a game he seems to drift out of it - if his consistency improved he would be regular and scoring...if not I think he'll be off in the summer

www.shropshirestar.com/show_article.php?aID=29335"It's nonsense and as far as I am concerned you can't call that a bid," he said. "It's like me going to Manchester United, faxing Sir Alex Ferguson and saying I want Ryan Giggs in exchange for a player of mine who we don't rate and is not in the team." Another good quote from Peters. Don't think he like Chester
