Not a bad following from Salop at all, how many will Bury say they would have had for the Boxing day fixture?

think they'd have been looking at a figure in and around 3,500 12k-15k compensation???

think they'd have been looking at a figure in and around 3,500 12k-15k compensation??? I still don't see why we should have to pay anything; it wasn't actually the team's fault that there was a major pile-up on the motorway. It was something beyond our control.

It would have been far worse had it not been for Colin Poole's expertise in dealing with the matter.

i doubt we had anywhere near that many fans on boxing day No, we probably had 7/800. Bury may be the one club who actually inflate their crowd figure to avoid embarassment. It was very very empty there tonight. Town could have had another couple of hundred at least if the bus thing had come off.

how exactly???
Club could have just hired a soliciter (one without a dodgy history) and argued the same case.
Given the full facts my old man could have done it

Didnt feel like there was 1700 home fans. Ive never seen the home terraces look so empty for an away league game.
As Bizzy Lad commented their support looked like it had come along for an LDV game.

The home support was very sparse and very quiet, it doesnt help that its a 12,000 seater stadium with only 1,700 home fans in it and the stands seem to be a good distance away from the pitch. And is it me or were the Gigg Lane floodlights incredibly bright? I guess theyre normal enough, I'm getting too used to the Gay Meadow floodlights now

is that really a 12,000 capacity?
we seemed miles from the pitch. that stand needed a better incline

Gigg Lane lights are normal - Town are 200% below par in some areas

I can't see there being 1700 home fans last night, it was very, very empty. Bury look a club in deep trouble which i feel quite sorry about. They are a long established, traditional club with a good ground and potentially a large catchmnet area. I hope that somehow the situation can change for them.

trouble is too many people watch united and city and very few go to watch Bury... i work in manchester and know four or five lads in my office who live in Bury, none of them support them! was my first visit to Gigg Lane last night and after Darlo i was was concerned about all seater stadiums leading to a lack of atmosphere... now i'm not saying the atmosphere was great but at least we made some noise! Tidy ground Bury have got too! roll on the New Meadow...

Glad I took the option of going to the bird's for 2 days, if I'd gone by bus for free, I'd have demanded a refund She did make a point of telling a steward she wasn't a Shrews fan as such though, think he was briefly dismayed at a local being in the away end ;D She now has a record of two clean sheets in two attendances though

It reminded me of the Welsh cup first round clashes against Barry or Mertyr Tydfil.. Town made enough noise though, quite a tidy atmosphere in our end.
