NEW TARGET FOR BLUES
STEPHEN VAUGHAN today moved in for a new midfield target.
The Chester City chairman revealed the club would be faxing Shrewsbury Town with a bid for versatile winger Ryan Lowe. Vaughan was focusing his sights on the Shropshire club’s midfielder after bids for both Kevin McLeod and ex-City player Michael Twiss were rejected late yesterday. Vaughan said: “We will be contacting Shrewsbury by fax today and we will table a cash and midfield player swap bid for Ryan Lowe. “Lowe is a Liverpool lad who can play on the right or left wing. He is out of contract at Shrewsbury in May and he is also out of favour with the club. “He impressed us when we played at home to Shrewsbury this season and we believe he can do a good job for Chester.” Lowe was a target for Chester when Graham Barrow was the Blues boss, and Lowe was a former team mate of ex-Chester striker Mark Beesley at Burscough before being signed by Kevin Ratcliffe at Shrewsbury in 2000. Vaughan confirmed that bids for both Kevin McLeod and Michael Twiss had been rejected.

How can a club who is losing so much money keep offering cash for players? Admittedly their offers seem to be knocked back all the time but surely any money that is kicking around should be spent easing their debt?

I'm pleased to know Ryan can play on the left wing.
They've had him well scouted then.

Could be Andy Harris (Ex Orient captain), who has hardly featured since joining at the start of next year.
However more likly IMHO is Andy Watson (ex Donny), a winger whom like Lowe will be out of contract in the summer, Wright signed him, rush never gave him a chance.
Basically, it'll be a reserve player plus a few grand.
