I can guarantee everyone will be bored of them by that time.....they'll probably just realised the 11th single from that bland album.

They should not headline full stop.
I don't like them but they are very popular so they must do something right.
But no band, no matter how good they are can headline a major festival after releasing only 1 album!!! They simply don't have the material to put a good set together. Look at the darkness headlining at reading last year. Not enough material and they were a bit flash in the pan anyway, by the time summer comes will the scissor sisters still be held in the same esteem they are now?
we'll see...

I don't mind the Scissor Sisters but to have them top of the bill after one album seems a little extreme.

What next?
Abba winning the Kerrang! awards?
Christ, what's wrong with the V-Festival organisers...

What next? Abba winning the Kerrang! awards? Christ, what's wrong with the V-Festival organisers... I go to V every year and I'm not really that gutted. Admittedly they aren't the 'big name' that many were hoping for but it will be a change to end the night on a happy, party like note, and to be fair they out-shone many of the more established acts last year. Add that to the best selling album of the year and awards for 'best live act' at various places, it doesn't seem as strange. I expect someone like Coldplay, Stereophonics or the Manics to headline the Sunday though...

Heard off various sites that Oasis and Kasabian are gonna play on the same night- (sunday i gues as S.S are headlining Saturday) Also Maroon 5 are also set to appear Overall the headliners could be pretty good!

Where's the website? v-festival.com is still 2003.
Not been before but am going this year, and was expecting someone much bigger and better than Scissor Sisters, who IMHO are crap. Kerrang radio is practically creaming all over them and Filthy/Gorgeous at the moment, guaranteed to hear it at least once every morning and night. Get Green Day headlining, they'll be in the country at that time anyway...

And dont forget Glasto, a real festival.
I'd have a wager on u2 being the biggies this year
wonder what the odds are that greenday do Glasto? that'd be quality.
Throw in the Music in, stick Gomez in a tent and get the old ESP round a campfire with their guitars and I'd be happy.
Never understood V, a festival that finishes at 11.30pmish??? whats that all about?
