you get a bloke who runs a vending company, a man in the motor trade and a good sparky and also a dodgy solicitor who have all made it in business - yet together they cant organise a p**s up in a brewery

It was, as I posted yesterday, a great win-win idea.
The next step was to book 5-6 coaches , inform Chris Smith of the plans and get publicity firing to try and fill them. by 4.15pm today.
Sounds simple?

more people that go.. more get behind the team - more goals we may score and as an important side issue greater the gate and thus less compensation we have to pay

Is it the travel window bit that's wrong? No, the fact that there was a limited number of buses (2?) and also a £9 charge for the majority of people.

if the supportrers trust gets formed will Chris Smith and the away fans group be part of the trust? Your point being? As supporters, wouldn't they be allowed to be? OR are you suggesting that as members, the Trust would have to start dabbling in their affairs?

if the supportrers trust gets formed will Chris Smith and the away fans group be part of the trust? Chris already sits on the Umbrella Group and at least 1 of its committees representing the Away Travel and Super Blues. I hope that he takes an active part in the Trust (he was consulted about the plans before it went public) as his knowledge of the club is second to none and he is a proven 'do-er'.

if the supportrers trust gets formed will Chris Smith and the away fans group be part of the trust? a Supporters Trust will not take over any existing fans group, from B&A to ASFC, Away travel to Super Blues. It is not a replacement, but could help support all groups. obviously as a respected fan it would be great if Chris got involved, as with every fan of the club.

Somehow guys, we have got to get 'joined up thinking'.
That is where the Trusts comes in me thinks.
The intention was fantastic. The idea is great. Execution leaves a lot to be desired.
In all honesty I dont think the intention has been to hi55 people off, but something has gone wrong from the 'lets give free travel to everyone the club will pay' to the practicalities of Chris Smith having to try and order a couple of extra coaches more within the psace of a few days. as the coverall statement says, normal away travel rules apply.
I dont know what conversation have gone on between Chris and the club, and that is something I will try and find out.
What annoyes me is that once again the club has let itself down big time. A fantastic opportunity missed. Everyone running around blaming each other.
IT'S STOPS NOW PEOPLE!!!!!!!! I am fed up of things connected with this football club always being associated with fook ups, even the simplest things, the good intentions still end up being farces.
We have some fantastic people both in the club and supporters organisations. For fook sakes lets bloody use our talents, get soem joined up thinking and stop fookin up all the bloddy time!!
RANT OVER

No, the fact that there was a limited number of buses (2?) and also a £9 charge for the majority of people. Oh. When's that going to be announced on the Club site? The coaches will be leaving at 4pm.
