If the game DOES get called off on Boxing Day (which wouldnt surprise me according to current forecasts) could it be re-arranged for the Saturday or Sunday? At least the sun could be out for those days

I've always wondered what options are available to a club if, for example, there is a possibility that the pitch would be playable 24 or 48 hours after the postponed game. If both clubs involved could agree to such a quick rearrangement…do you think supporters would mind?
Totally agree about the policing, mind…I guess that would be a major factor. Just out of interest, how many officers are on duty for Shrewsbury Town home games (run of the mill games, mind…not those versus the likes of Hereford and Telford)…anyone know? Has there been a noticeable reduction on officers on duty since we have been playing in the Conference?

Northwich fans are all tough nuts looking for a fight so I would imagine 150 or so officers would be needed ;D

I don't usually see many police around on a bog standard match day. Northwich wouldn't bring too many fans with them so i'd have though Saturday would be a good idea. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I am busy on boxing day!
