my own view on it is that its utter b*&&"X. its a nice comforter when times are bad, but it gets twisted and manipulated by so many to suit the cause they fight for,for instance a fundimental command from the bible is"thou shalt not kill" so whats everyone been doin in the name of god for the last 2000 yrs? killing everyone wake up, he dont want u to kill in his name?to hear a civillised western leader declare his beleif in god nowadays is to me no diffrnt to saying he belives in father christmas.

to hear a civillised western leader declare his beleif in god nowadays is to me no diffrnt to saying he belives in father christmas. A very valid point matey. Are we having a re run of the crusades? Some terrible things have been done in the name of gods, be it God, Allah or vishnu ( if my Simpsons serve me right, he is the elephant god with six arms ). My understanding, although limited, is that one of the fundamental teachings of all religions is to love and to foregive, and yet it is the one thing mankind seems incapable of.

If people want to fight they will, usually for power or money. Any other reason they give is just an excuse.
