I thought he was a cracking little player, and will give him a clap when his name is read out. I fear he will get some stick which we may regret as the game unfolds

I won't personally cheer or boo but by his last appearance here i'm guessing he'll be booed every time on the ball until they get tired of it.

Im not doing anything but booo him till the final whistle!!! I liked him but hes not and has not been a town player for years!!!! He will get a clap at the end mind (even if he scores) as he was a decent little player in his time here! In a week where theres been debate on weather we should give the home players stick, surely we not about to hav another about weather to be nice to opposition players??? The worlds gone mad!!!

This is a subject that winds me up a bit , Sorry but it does. why do we have to boo or give them abuse every time a former player returns to the meadow?
Besides, the more you give them stick the more likely they will have a cracking game against us. Or worse score. (Especially Steele)
I say get behind our current players, sing their names, not worry about the opposition.

His penalties against Southend were vital in keeping up and I'll never forget the looks on his face first when he equalised against Halifax and then when Keggs scored the winner.
The man did all he could keep us afloat for 2/3 seasons and if he'd played under Fred and later under Ratcliffe (when times were good) he'd have had the service his ability deserved and thus would have scored shead loads of goals and be seen as a hero

Slag off and ex-player and expect it to be a motivation to them. I agree with what TKB has put

Slag off and ex-player and expect it to be a motivation to them. I agree with what TKB has put Thats exactly what happened last time he played here, inspirational and scored. This may have been the game when their keeper went off injured with no replacement on the bench and we still lost.

Well im in the minority but not every player whos come back and been booed has had great games, some times it works the opposite (cramb this season)
Im not saying anything about his history here just cant get overley happy about old players coming back in others shirts and expecting it to be ok.
Said it before and i will say it again - i have a general dislkie for any player who is standing in the way of a town win!

Well im in the minority but not every player whos come back and been booed has had great games, some times it works the opposite (cramb this season) The game where Cramb came back, got booed every touch by the masses and had a nightmare as they crashed to another Darby-inspired Town victory? Or the game where a few booed, a few clapped, he had a generally quiet half hour after coming on as a sub, and we ended up drawing 1-1 in a drab game as Duane played his eight game for Shrewsbury this season and failed to score yet again?

When Steele scored during our last raping by the O's, he was respectful and hardly celebrated his goal. At the mo I would do anything to have a striker like him on our team.

I'd love him on our side but i wouldn't do anything to have him here. There's certain things i'd only do for money and lots of it

If I was there I'd boo him! Thought he was too good for us and pisd off to Brighton. 11 goals in 60 games. Then went to Oxford and scored 4 in 26 games. Scored 37 goals in 113 games for us. Can think of better players to grace Gay Meadow BOO THE UNLOYAL LITTLE s**t!!!!

went to brighton and score some crucial goals as they marched to promotion from div2\league 1 also came off the bench a hell of a lot. Went to oxford and spent most of his time injured. Has to be one of our better transfers in recent years... Can you blame him for leaving us??? Hell we were a club on the way out of the league, with crap facilities and little prospect of a new ground....

Steele is a legend. End of. An extremely liberal use of the word legend in my opinion. Sure he was a decent striker for the Town and may possibly do us damage on saturday but when you talk about Town legends past and present then i'm afraid Lee Steele does not feature on the radar. You must be very easily impressed.
