Before Peters came i would have easily put him with Darby on the donkey paddock. As long as he doesn't let this last poor performance effect him i'll keep him in the first team and leave Darby to eat hay on his own

the bloke is a waste of space....
doesnt get stuck in what so, he is a complete ball watcher and adds no drive or determination to the team
and doesnt do any thing creative going forward...he passes the ball side-ways or backwards
...people wonder why our mid-field is lame.... that man is the reason we are getting over run in mid-field.... tolley has to do his job for him....
i would perfer pete wilding in the team before sedge and that says A LOT! (decent bloke that widling was... he was pretty s**te)
in his defence he is a decent cover for moss but no way on this earth is he a mid fielder.... he just doesnt have it in him to stamp his autority on the game.... he goes missing for far too long.. and has as many ideas as a gold fish on smack.

Very harsh criticism of Sedge there I feel Mr Salmon, he had a poor last game but he hasnt always been that bad, he's easily the best set piece taker we've had since Jemmo thats for sure, and good set piece takers dont come easily at Shrewsbury Town....

Sedge has done a lot better since GP came here.
However he's a conference standard player and no more IMO

agree that he has a good free kick, but that does not justify putting sumone in the starting eleven... i wud prefer to let rodges to have a go if the free kick is around the box.
when sedge is in midfield his primary role is to either create for the forwards or to win the ball back- and he is ordinary at both of these roles as the game by-passes him far too often. i cant remember him getting stuck in and competeing with the opposition for the ball once. if i was an opposition player playing against sedge... i wudnt be scared of him at all... he just doent get stuck in! and that is what central fidfielder shud do.
at right back the play comes to him and then he is average at what he does.... but in mid field he just doesnt assert himself enough.
hopefully the new lad from liverpool will fill the massive void next to tolley in our mid-field.

Bear in mind what we are comparing him with for a start! However he has become a useful utility player that can cover a few positions and do a decent job there. Every decent team should have one. Man Utd have two. Phil Neville and O'Shea. Plus the fact we have no one else that can do what he does any better, so as long as thats the case he gets my vote 4 now.

Wilding always gave his all and kept Rooney quiet in the great Everton rout. Sedge will do well for us too.

Under Quinn's guidance (guidance!! thats a joke) Sedge was crap, but under Peters he's a worthwhile squad member!

I think Sedge at present is just as useful to the team/squad as Peter Wilding was in 2003.
And he got player of the year.

I LAUGH IN YOUR FACE Nope, but compared to his form in October, Jake is doing far better and was very important in the run of form we had over Christmas. I would probably start O'Connor ahead of him but think he's a very decent addition to our squad. INFERENCE DRAWING FOOTBALL COACHES RAUS

So, what you're saying is, compared to when he was really rubbish in october he is only a little bit rubbish now? I am amazed that he would be in anyones first choice line up, decent squad back-up member yes, terrible in centre midfield though. UTILITY PLAYER LOVING WELSH SEPARTISTS RAUS
