I notice shares were issued at £2.50 a pop last season (assume Colin Poole bought them?)
Can anyone purchase these? Or can they only be purchased providing you buy £100,000s worth?

STFC is not a plc, so shares are not traded on an exchange.
Clubs can issue shares and if there are any left over you can approach the club direct and ask to buy some.
As the shares are not traded I don't know how the value is fixed, presumably the directors decide.
Hopefully a Supporters Trust will be set up, fans will pay a subscription which will be used to buy shares, the voting rights of which would be held by the Trust.
Obviously the club would have to co-operate by making shares available to the Trust, but I have suggested many times before that the thousands of pounds raised by fans should be used to buy shares instead of being donated to the club without receiving any consideration in return.
It seems to me that this is the only was to protect a club from the likes of Risdale, Bates, Gutterman etc.

Why does it then have PLC after Shrewsbury Town in the accounts???
It also talks about a share issue at a price of £2.50 a share???

The shares aren't listed on a stock exchange. the key is that these shares would come onto the market so infrequently and in so small volumes that you couldn't make a market for them.
I remember talking to a David Horner of Chelverton Asset Management, who specialises in genuinely small companies' shares, and the efforts he goes to to track down shares is incredible. He especially loves getting a phone call from a solicitor handling an estate that contains individual shareholdings. Peter Webb of Unicorn is just the same.
