Am going with a few mates (Reading seasonticket holders) to the Vetch tonight (FA Cup 3rd round replay).
Am feeling slightly apprehensive about it.
Is there anything to worry about?
Anywhere we should avoid at all costs?
And is it recommendable that I take off the STFC badges from my hat and leave my STFC scarf at home???

Most swansea fans are a good laugh. I've been to the vetch a few times before and never had any trouble. You'll only find trouble if you go looking for it - I recommend you keep your town badges on your hat but keep your mouth shut at all times

Just been speaking to a Jack season ticket holder. They seem to think they have every chance tonight (bookies odds suggest otherwise). Hard one to call, although Trundle whenever live on telly seems to make a complete Arse of himself

There'll be around 10,000 there as well. Should make for a decent spectacle on TV

I bet the atmosphere at the Vetch will be bloody brilliant when full, it may be a decaying wreck but the atmosphere that generates from that North Bank terrace is special.

That’s true schizo our kid, but it can be a tad uncomfortable for an Englishman in there...hundreds of p**sed up, scary Welsh types giving it the old 'we hate England'. We didn't say a word to each other for the first 45 mins until we ventured further left at half time... ;D
If your gonna stand on the North Back I'd recommend standing up to the left where all the old boys stand...

Well, I mean.....just how bad would a team need to be to lose to a side a couple (or even more!) leagues below them in th FA Cup! Thought they rode out the initial 20 minute onslaught that was expected and finished the first half looking to take control. Second half and extra time was fine by me....especially given the number of injuries at Reading. Sign of a good team one that wins when not at their best! At least it was a reasonably entertaining game for the neutral too, and they ended the game with more than 9 men!

Reading were pants. If only Trundle amd/or O'Connor had a jot of pace.... 7000 something or other there. Cant have been more than a pathetic250 reading fans. All they frigging sings is "Blue Army"
