A lot has been said about the social club and the need for a bigger one as it will increase revenue, however what are the other facilities at the NM that will bring in extra revenue compared to the current ground?
Its been well documented that we need a ground that can bring in money 365 days a year and the GM can't do that but what will there be at the NM that will do this?
I know we are having the executive boxes which will obviously bring in revenue on match day which we dont have at present but other than what will there be?

Already sent a question along this lines to "Ask the Board". Will be interesting to see if it gets asked or I get an answer.

I think there will be a number of rooms at the new ground that I think would allow the club to hold events such as those held by Walsall at the Bescot Stadium. So functions, conferences, sporting dinners and the like...

luke rodgers had a good idea, he said u could have a decent gym at the club and sell memberships. i reckon this would work, and maybe to people with season tickets priority cards etc etc could have a discounted membership

Let's not build-up expectations. It could easily take a number of years to sort out the new ground to being something special - we will have to content ourselves with just a much better match experience at least initially, but then take it from there.
I wonder (aloud) to what extent the match day experience will be detrimentally effected by the location of the new stadium? It will be interesting to see what the park and ride schemes will be like.
I do wonder about the revenue possibilities on non-match days. I understand that Roland Wycherley is convinced that the catering side will do it for the club on non-match days, but we'll have to see.
If I wanted to pay, say, £80 for a meal for two I would want to do it with views of the river rather than the A5. But maybe that's just me.
Presumably Roland knows what he is doing, and who's going to ask Roland about it lest their heads are taken off their shoulders?
We're all a bunch of communists, why would he want to talk to us anyway?
Dual use of current facilities. Education facilities. Expanded role for FitC.
To end this post with something positive.
At least I won't have to lift the toilet seat with my foot at the New Meadow - that's progress.
"Come to the New Meadow and have a cack without contracting bubonic plague" It's not Disney Paris, but it's a start.

they are building a brand new health club thingy on the golf course across the road
The 300 seater function room will be a business suite during the day and open for all sorts of events like parties, product launches and wedding receptions
There are 8 executive boxes which can be meeting rooms open all day
There is a decent car park which i am sure will see the odd car boot sale
The bars in the concourses will sell quite a few extra pints on a saturday, while on average every club who has developed a new ground has seen attendences grow by 30%

Increased sponsorship opportunities which Bill W is apparantly doing well with. Not too sure about the better match experience to be honest Sean. Not entirely sure what is in the New Meadow plans to make that so yet? If it has a decent sized supporters bar with Sky, well planned out concourses with beer, bookies and TVs showing football (just like I was able to do at Derby County today), then great If I just have to pay extra couple of quid and spend more time getting to the ground from Shrewsbury, then it'll be worse than present and I can only be pleased with the fact that the club is in a beter fiscal position because of it.

Not too sure about the better match experience to be honest Sean. Not entirely sure what is in the New Meadow plans to make that so yet? 1) unrestricted view of the play 2) not wishing that you'd brought your flippers to make it across to the urinals. I'm unclear about the travel aspect - whether it will be better or worse.

Even Stevenage Borough had an astro next to their stadium, not to forget the large social club and bookies shop they also have, not bad for a club who have NEVER played in the Football League as yet.
I know the club cant quite afford to build facilities to match those at Rushden but just a couple of floodlit basic astroturf pitches to go with the main training pitch would be good for the players and the general public, are there actual plans for a gym at the NM at the mo? I would think there would be but I cant remember anyone mentioning it......
