I often go to the Players Bar as a guest of a season ticket holder
Today for the first time ever I was told that this is not allowed and they would not let me in
have I been sneaking in all this time?

you're supposed to show a season ticket, or a players bar ticket.
apparently a judy-initiated clampdown

Will any season ticket be permitted?

Not that I'd go in myself, but is that changing the goalposts for the Superblues?

All Season ticket holders are allowed in as far as I know.
As Jeevsey said, Judy iniciated a clampdown

Perhaps that's because it's too small for all the people that want to go in!!!! Hmmm... a bigger bar perhaps...

Bless her!
I didn't see anything about this on the official site.
Presumably this was somthing that came up in the ticketing group?
It's not great people finding out that they can't do something on the day that they have previously done.

Since you were doing the Club a favour, Throbs, giving out the questionnaires before the match- they should have let you in anyway!

I am not actually having a go at anyone here guys
I am just asking the question.
I always thought a season ticket holder could take in guests but maybe that was wrong?
In the past a friend has showed their ticket and said I was their guest and we have been allowed in.
Yesterday I wasn't allowed in

It was pretty full in there yesterday so maybe thats why they are being a bit more selective?. I wonder what would happen if all the season ticket holders actually tried to go in together To be honest im not a big fan of the place, its always too hot and it smells in there. The seating is a bit naff as well. On the bright side Tinnos missus was a nice piece of eye candy

thought it was players, guests, people with tickets, season ticket holders, super blues, osc who could go in there..
it's dictated by numbers so if it's full you can't get in, whether your seaspn ticket. osc,. super blue etc..
personally i'd rather spend the evening in a bucket than it there, it's a horrible space and depresses me.
emma, you probably get in as people know you and your mum...

Good on 'em I say I think of STFC's stance in banning the Board Padre from the bar is suitable retribution for the vicar of St Chads not letting me in for midnight mass a few years back. Shame really, I was in fine voice by that time of night too.

As a SuperBlues member, I do go in from time to time and have done for seasons, so no goalposts changed Sean. Also nothing to do with the Ticketing Group.
May have something to do with the fact it has been packed in there after some games. Perhaps someone has brought this to the clubs attention.
I went in last night, and there was still a good number in there after the game, so perhaps it did need looking at.
There were a few people not very happy at not being allowed in and were giving the poor doormen grief, who after all are only doing their job, following orders.
Just goes to show we DO need a bigger club when we get to the new ground.
Good to see Seabsy and Spinky in their. Managed to have a chat with both - surprised Deano isn't barred - Roland would have probably gone ape had he known!!!!!!!! ;D

I always thought the guy on the door was there to do checks (Freddie Hale isn't it?). Yesterday I went there to get some blank questionnaires to take to the Foxes, was just about to explain this to him but straight away he just waved me in like anyone could go in Deano having a few after the game probably explains his non-appearance for the Wheatsheaf FC this morning A nice comfortable 3-1 win for us, they were really p'd off that he didn't show Are you top now terry lad? Good win that today.

BTW, did you beat the Rock Ant? Yes mate we won 2-1 but to be honest we were absolutely shocking, with our only help being that the Rock were worse - we scored twice in the last ten minutes to claim the win. Now 6 points clear in 3rd place - shame the Canal Tavern in 4th have just the six games in hand

I think the Sponsors Lounge is much more cosy than the Players Bar, even if it is older and smaller. I dont think I'd go in the supporters bar at the NM that often if it looked anything like the players bar we have now, but I get the feeling its going to look quite similar I also ventured into two well known Shrews pubs for the first time ever before yesterdays game to watch Scousers v Mancs as the Crown in Coleham was shut, we went to the Masonic first but it was deserted and Home & Away was on the TV in there?!? So we then ventured into the Seven Stars and despite what has been said about that place I thought the atmosphere was quite good in there, 'pub hopping' will be severely missed after we've moved to the NM

I always liked the Seven Stars.
But having been caught in there on three occasions when the EBF turned up, made a decision not to go again as it was particularly unpleasant.

If Roland finds out you are smuggling him in he'll be after you!! ;D Deano was in the Crown after sinking a few - not surprised he didn't show Sunday, Terry I asked him how many like to kick him just because he is an ex-pro & he said loads!!! ;D
