Not knowing his best position isn't so bad I spent 10 minutes at London road this morning trying to work out if Pricey was left or right footed

i was amazed by the amount of abuse given to lowey by the wakeman round the pressbox, everything was his fault and he was useless basically..

He had a typical game today, some overhit passes, some poor touches, some excellent touches, some excellent passes and more shots on goal than anyone else.

Agreed Lowe was his frustrating best - fans who do not like him moaned and the others backed him, but i saw more and more people laying into today at times than for a while (even a well respected town fan who does a lot of the club had a pop ) For me it was not enough - too much over ran some poor passes at vital time and a little too much time on the ball, as well as the fact that Langers was crying out for a pacy player to be up front with today and he never had it!!! I would have stuck woth Grant untill rodgers is back, but GP made a call and it did not end too badley!!! Should have subbed Lowe with 10 to go to mix things up!!!

Sorry i seem to be missing something here.
He reckons he is a striker so we play him as i striker then you say he had more shots on goal than anyone else. Corse he did he's playing up front for christs sake.
Trouble is too many of his passes didnt reach. His tackling is crap, as though hes frightened of getting hurt, and despite all his shots on goal, he didnt score. On plus side, good work rate, runs till he just cant any more.
The sooner GP gets to work on stage two, as he calls it, the better

But did you see the shooting training - i was scoring - in a new - In Shrewsbury Amazing As For Tim "The Howizer" Williams (gal) left foot - we need him on the edge of the area for corners

Yeah, thats the spirit. Support the lads eh You misunderstand my friend. I do, very much so. I am very pleased we have sorted out the defence side of it and made ourselves hard to beat. We now need to sort the other end. Kelvin needs another striker up there with him and all im saying is a cant see what we have available as being good enough. Its just an opinion, and does not mean i dont support the lads at all.

I thought he did ok considering he was out of position Definatlely took some undeserved stick from a few fans. Is anyone else concerned that Langmead hasn't had a shot worth mentioning for 2 games ?

Yeah, sorry Parker. It just gets on my tits that Ryan gets a slagging off when he did no better or worse than his partner this afternoon. Well, in my opinion anyways

Yeah Scoot and the best two chances today fell to Kelvin. He ain't a goalscorer, but he's a hell of a prospect.
Some of the abuse Ryan took was nonsense - yes some of his passes were dreadful (he tried to play the killer ball too much) but he worked awfully hard and deserves another chance next week.

Let's just hope he's one of those out of contract at the end of the season...
Too inconsistent by half....

I feel for Ryan, he gets the same stick that Jags used to get...everything is his fault. Show em Ryan

i was amazed by the amount of abuse given to lowey by the wakeman round the pressbox, everything was his fault and he was useless basically.. I stood in the Wakeman today just in front of the school and the strangest thing happened...... I moaned throughout the game, mostly at Ryan Lowe and the Linesman

Inconsistent and frustrating are sadly 2 words that you will always associate with Ryan (some would say the same about Sammy and definitely about Jags). We can all recount games where he has made the difference, scored some great goals, been the best player on the pitch. Equally we can remember times when my gran could have done better (even with her artificial hip ). From what is available at the club at present, I'd keep Ryan as a substitute forward and makeshift right winger if needed. Edwards is undoubtedly better than him on the right and Langmead & Luke are the best forwards, Lowe would be just ahead of Grant in my forward's pecking order. If DD goes and we sign another forward, that could well signal time for Ryan to find another club.

Ryan Lowe is an unfortunate enigma which we will never be able to understand - he reminds me of Graeme Hick as an international cricketer - at his brilliant best for 1 game and then returning into his shell the next. The trouble for Ryan or should I say the supporters is that we just don't know which player is going to turn up on match days. The talent is there but all too often the inconsistency rears its ugly head - the phrase 'flatters to deceive' springs to mind. Like 1 or 2 others in the squad I think he will improve under the guidance of GP.

Good post Hoover. Hand what I would also add is that this lad is 100% Shrewsbury Town. His head never goes down and we saw last May exactly what it meant to him for this football club to rise again. Keep going Ryan

Lowe was poor today
like said before, trying too much on a shocking pitch
but then he worked hard and to be fair, did not have great service and that is his first start up front

Ryan today along with Sammy were the only ones who created anything in Boston's half actually can't think of anyone besides Sedge's freekick that caused their crap goalkeeper any difficulty. Get off the guys back.

Ratcliffe & Quinn both played Ryan on the right wing-with mixed results. After years on the wing it looks like he's lost the 'killer' touch he had a Burscough, his approach play was fine yesterday but in the box, forget about it-we need a new striker now!
Still decent enough preformance-frustrating as hell mind, did'nt think much of Boston, very ordinary looking.
Come back Crambie

Lowey was by far the best of our two strikers today. He needs games in the strikers role to regain his touch and confidence.
Spoke to Luke after the game, he can't wait to get back.
Ryan deserves our support - get off his back!!!
