No, no triumphalism, although I must admit to being a little chuffed at the mo.
Just thought I'd say that the partnership between Barios and Moriantes looked potentially awsome. Looking at their running off the ball and unquestionable ability - could be a bit scarry when they get used to each other:o

Spoke to my mate who was at the game and thought that Morientes was a bit taken back by the physicality but his movement was awesome.
One Boris Johnson, there's only one.....

I dont know how old you are Mr Malt but I can remember the Kop singing the Des O'Conner song of the day 'Careless Hands' to the Leeds keeper Gary Sprake when he did a howler in front of them. Any repeat rendition today for Jerzey

Not if he was in goal for Liverpool To true my friend. All round good day today, United once again remind the dipper's that they are yesterday's team and the Town continue with their recent run and produce another clean sheet. Three points would have been nice but lets not be too greedy to soon.

Fair enough, yes he does go on too much sometimes..... I'm just waiting for the day that JAMO comes on here complaining about Chelsea buying the title

I think the key words Ghostie in JP's post were youth policy. Choose any stick you like with which to beat United but the lack of committment to development of home grown players would be pretty low on the list , even from that vast armoury that you store in your cerebral vacuum

I'd like Chelsea to win the title myself, it's nice to have a bit of variety in the mix for Wenger & Ferguson to have to worry about. Chelsea have played easily the best football so far this season and have a chance of breaking the fewest goals conceded record of Liverpool's from 78/79 of 16 in the season which I never thought would get beaten (albeit is in 4 fewer games).
They have spent huge amounts of cash, no question about it, although it is in a short time only what others have spent over slightly longer periods with the same aim i.e to buy Premiership and European success. Also just because you spend money doesn't mean it will all click together on the pitch, as any number of sacked managers have found to their cost.
If you look at United over the past few seasons they have spent vast amounts of cash as well, which seems to be forgotten - people still think they are churning out home grown talents which they are not, the "golden" age of Beckham, Giggs, Scholes etc are long since gone.
Ferdinand £29m, Veron £28m, Rooney £27m, Van Nistelrooy £19m, Saha £13m, Ronaldo £12m - add in Smith, Heinze, Kleberson and Djemba (x2) and that's another £25m - hardly chicken feed is it ?
I like Mourniho - he's clearly a great coach, has the respect of all of his players and is prepared to stand up to Ferguson's ongoing antics, whinges and mind games, which is long overdue. I hope he doesn't get involved in an ongoing slanging match though.
If they do win the Premiership, they will have deserved it.

Arsenal and Man Utd have won the last 10 championships between them. I look forward to Chelsea finally breaking the mould. And Mourinho, what a class act.
