reading through this weeks copy of zoo magazine today and theres a feature on the huge difference between professional footballers wages. On one page it had frank lampard on 4.5mil a year and on the oppositte page joe hart on something like 6k, had an interview with joe and a player from brighton, adam virgo i think. quite interesting to see how much players from 3 different leagues get paid, lampard on 4.5mil, virgo on 75k and one of our players on 6k, would be interesting to know how much the average wage is at the meadow for one of the more senior players, would give a more accurate insite into the gap between wages. anybody got any idea what sort of amount our players take home each year

I'd have thought most would take £20-30,000 a year, though Darby is rumoured to take home at least double that. But rumours tend to be incorrect.

We lost several players because we wanted to slash there wages...most of the players in our current squad however are on roughly £800 - 1k per week plus performance related bonuses
