I'm just about to go out for a few beers with the Welshpool assistant manager who was sacked last year. I'm sure I will be able to slip their upturn in performance over the last 6 months into conversation somewhere

Whats all the hatred against TNS? Theyre just a factory side who play in a small village Exactly, which was why I used to love 'em. But the move to Oswestry will kill them within ten years. 3,000 all seater stadium my ass. They're just an advertising front for a business now.

They're just an advertising front for a business now. yes of course theyre advertising the business, but the new stadium will bring football to Oswestry, something that oswestry has missed for ages (Oswetsrys ground is quite a way out of town), which IMO can only be a good thing for the town and area.

To be fair to Oswestry it needs a football club, but it needs Oswestry Town F.C., not Total Network Solutions.
I think a new Oswestry Town club should be formed and they should start somewhere in the English Pyramid like the E&S West Midlands League, I think TNS own Park Hall Stadium so they cant play there so maybe they could play their home games at Morda?
Its a great shame that the village of Llansantffraid is losing their football club in all this 'we want to make an impact in Europe' bullsh!t spouted out by Mike Harris.

it is a shame that Llansantffraid is losing the football, something that seems to be forgotten byt he oswestry fans whingeing about losing their own football club.
their is no way that any Wlesh Premier team will make an impact in Europe for at least the next 5 years, even if it does become a summer league, but if a new stadium means that suropean qualifying ties will be played IN OSWESTRY to largeish crowds, then i really think it is only a good thing for the club and town.

Its funny that Newport and Merthyr would rather play their football in the depths of English non-league football rather than play two UEFA qualifying games in July against some anonymous club from Belarus who will probably thrash them.

So true! If Mike Harris thinks TNS are ever going to compete in Europe then he must be mad. But he does live in Middletown so perhaps he is

It's advertising (with a bit of ego chucked in).
Even if it's only prelim rounds, Total Network Solutions have a football team in the Champions League which ain't a bad way to advertise your business.
