A lot of positive posts and comments about Langmead since his arrival and someone even compared him to the anti-hero, Nigel Jemson. Hard to compare a young player with lots of potential with one who we only saw in the twilight of his career but I reckon there are few similarities. Jemson was a mouthy, lazy, cheating, controversial, frustrating player who I admit scored some very important goals and had excellent vision. Langmead is quiet, works extremely hard for the team, plays the game simply and is strong in the air- he has been arguably man of the match in the last 3 home games but in these games he has failed to score; his scoring prowess seems to be his only question mark. Do you agree ? ;D

Kelvin reminds me of Kevin Davies..... they are similar in; stature, ability to play target man, and first name.

Does it matter whether he scores lots of goals? We have seen six goals in the last two games and only one of those goals came from a recognised striker. As long as he is holding onto balls and harassing the defenders and bringing our midfielders into play I dont care if he never scores. Alternatively bring back Rogers who, though tricky and a recognised goalscorer has rarely been in a winning side this season. If it means survival play Langmead and Grant.

Yes I think eventually it will matter- to him sooner than it will to us maybe. Hes doesnt have to be a 20/30 goal a season man but every striker needs a few goals to keep his confidence high

Lol Paul! What both strikers provided though was a focus, and an ability to create space for others through drawing defenders to them, and keeping the ball in the attacking third. I'm sure he will be a 10-12 goals a season player.

What a talent he is, Preston must be hedeging there bets with a good % in the sell-on fee.
For his age and league experience the lad can only get better, yet as Welshrew said don't expect to many goals from the lad, but there will be and has been goals where his contributions invaluble.

I commented to a friend of mine yesterday at the match that Langmead is the player Jemson could have been if it hadn't have been for his temperament.
I think goals will come but until they do, it is up to us to keep encouraging him to play as he does - I can't see much wrong myself.

I'd have to agree with gareth in that he does form a key focal point for our attack. And as such is invaluable to our team at the moment. He does however need some goals (has one already). After all, strikers thrive on scoring goals (just ask pricey )

What about Throb. He used to put himself about a bit and brought others into the game. Didn't score that many either.

We have a young man on the bench who may be able to do that.....Luke somebody.

Given a bit of time I think that Luke and Kelvin could be a useful partnership. From what I've seen Kelvin has a good football brain and likes to get others involved. Now all GP has to do is get Luke to realise that playing with the big lad could benefit him and the team.
