The new players seem to be settling in rather nicely dont they: Langmead, well hes so strong and is always an option for the midfield players- and dont underestimate his speed when he gets going! Ashton, improving with games, naturally left footed and versatile- just what the squad needed and I know its early days for Lyng but hes definitely got something- a cheeky nutmeg before the penalty appeal- a good prospect

Let's not get carried away. Monday is going to be a real test. But isn't it brilliant to see such positive posts with talk of organisation, commitment and shape after all the misfiring under Ratcliffe and Quinn? Well done Gary, keep it up!

Ashton looks very comfortable at left-back - Trevor Challis has almost certainly played his last game for the club.
