And let's hope that GP can make his careers become a bit of a fairy tale for the Town.
Well done to TBH for the text message to Radio Shropshire that I heard on the way home.
Let's give the lad a chance - GP it appears can work wonders with all of them.

Grant has played well for two games
Today he made one goal and scored another
You cannot ask for a lot more than that, I am not sure what has happened behind the scenes but Langmead has been an awesome acquisition and if Grant carries on playing like that we will be very very happy
I think the B&A fanzine may have to make him our most improved player in the next issue

I agree with TBH. Grant has been a revelation in comparison to his previous appearances. I don't know what the mangager is doing but it's certainly working. Grants hold up play and lay off to Edwards for the first was superb, and he took his goal very nicely. Well done Granty, keep it up!!

Fairs fair - hes took some stick and has been crap at times but the lad sowed me something i have not really seen before - that grant can be of a big use to the team!!! Best thing apart from the assist and goal was the fact that like langers he could back on a defender and take the ball turn and got passed a player - amazing (luke are you watching??) Keep going grant - and you could be top scorer soon

I dont think Mr Peters has worked miracles with John Grant.I dont even think John Grant is doing anything inparticular different. By this I mean; he always had the work ethic, tried to win headers and hold up the ball, as well as play in other people. And this he still does. However under Mr peters the mdifield is supporting the front two (Tolley 2,Edwards2,Aiston1) and as a result of also playing of Langmead we are able to keep hold of the ball in advanced positions. Just immagine how effective Luke Rodgers might be

Exactly ..... he was all set for a loan spell at Forest Green (who ... who)
and now .... he is arguably highly instrumental, and a huge asset to the club

best game I have seen Granty play yet.
Keep it up lad.
Just hope he keeps his place as Luke returns to fitness. It shouldnt be automatic that Luke gets his place back cos on current form I wouldnt want to see the front two messed with. They are working well together.

Luke should not get a look in in my opinion. Grant has scored 1 in 2, set up 1 today, played a part in 1 on Tuesday, and was just beasten to the ball by sammy for the first on Tuesday.
Luke 0 in 14 i think it is, and to influential otherwise.
Also, we now appear to have a partnership, Luke has not been able to forge a partnership since Jemson left, shows lack of adaptability. He just does not get close enough to his partner. With Grant and Langmead they are never more than 10/15 yards apart, they play as a partnership, not 2 seperate strikers.
I'm not sure Luke would have played Edwards in, his awareness has never been a strong part of his game.
As it stands i like what i'm seeing and i'd like it to stay like this for a while to come.

How refreshing to see two of our strikers forming a partnership that looks capable of causing opponents genuine problems.Langmead is quality & deserved a goal today. What is pleasing to see is John Grant showing the potental to become a major player in this side.Made one, scored one.Hope his current form continues & his partnership with Langmead goes from stregth to strength.

confidence plays a huge part in any players game, it was obvious to see when Grant's flicks/ headers came off his confidence soared and he got better and better, also he got LESS stick, so now the general confidence of the whole squad has increased 10 fold and finally the goals are coming from 'everywhere' the pressure is of Luke, he will start to score again..

and finally the goals are coming from 'everywhere' the pressure is of Luke, he will start to score again.. That's the important thing - when Luke was playing and not scoring, neither was anyone else very much. When and not if Luke regains his place, I'm sure that we'll see a more relaxed player, knowing that if he doesn't score, then there are other players who are finally doing the business and putting the ball in the back of the neck. There were a few in the Wakeman Stand today slagging off Grant from the start, and even after he had made the first and scored the second. I just couldn't be bothered to say anything, but some folk are never satisfied.

I have to sit in the wakeman stand, get this even when the final whistle went there were STILL a few 'people' moaning, Grant f*%k of you useless etc, still having a go at JT, god I can't wait till the NM is built and i don't have to sit amongst the prats.

I can tell you all what has happened to John Grant. I refer to Issue 4 Page 11 of the Blue and Amber fanzine. Who said Father Christmas does not exsist

I am not sure I have seen a player so transformed as Grant has been since GPs arrival I was one of his biggest mockers but if you have a dig at someone when they are poor you have to hold your hands up and praise them when they are good Grant-a-na is going to be a legend

Legend......... Steady on Dave, i like the "Grant-a-na" chant though exactly! I think he has the potential to be a legend alongside players like Throb, rather than arthur rowley, if you see what I mean

Even Telford fans reconise that on his day Grant looked a really good player. Problem is that he only showed this once every 10/15 games. If GP can get him playing at his best more consistantly then the Grant story could end up a happy one. You certainly cannot of questioned the lads efforts. I wonder if those fans telling him to **** off back to Telford at the Mansfield game were saying that after his goal yesterday

I sit by some fans who are just never happy - it wouldn't mattered if we scored trillions of goals they would still be moaning. As I have said before on here I just don't know why they keep coming season after season, let alone have a season ticket. I echo the sentiments expressed earlier in this thread that once the New Meadow arrives we can all do some re-sitting of ourselves

As one of those previously who critisiced John Grant I would like to say how impressed I have been with his last two performances ... If Peters can keep working this sort of magic its fine by me .. I even think Sedgemore looked the part - which he never did under Quinn.
The performance New Years day convinced me enough to go to Yeovil - though not expecting to win I hope we can at least give a more convinciing display away from home than the recent past...
Come on you Blues...
