I think part of the issue is the lack of quality and footballing intelligence within the current squad. It is a much more difficult and tiring game when you are being given the runaround by the opposition's quality midfielders or charging around after the ball when you have little hope of getting it instead of holding your position.

such a disappointment was hurst this time round after 2017/18, lightening just didnt strike twice did it

I agree with that and the 2nd half slump appeared to be a mental thing rather than physical but we still have too many players blowing out of their ass by 70 minutes.

Backed hursty to get em fit....but not to be.....but yes... attitude,desire,and commitment,played a big part in that..... we'll see what they're like under ainsworth
