I assume the new owners will be reading this board fastidiously.
I would therefore recommend a striker by the name of Gabriel Jesus, who is currently contracted to Arsenal FC. He is somewhat out of favour currently and therefore I believe a deal could be done that is amenable to all parties.
If this couldn't happen for whatever reason, someone like Matt Rhead could be a good plan B.

No idea how long these things take to get over the line but I certainly have some cautious excitement!

It must be on the cards as Ainsworth would not be risking his career with an eighteen month contract,to be given £50 and a bag of balls for two transfer windows with this lot. My guess it will be done by mid December.

My guess it will be done by mid December. He said in a recent interview that the players have 8 weeks to impress him so he can decide if he needs to make wholesale changes. You don't make wholesale changes in January on the cheap.

I hope whoever takes us over is a 500 per cent salop fan. I wonder if Mr Greenhouse is amongst the consortium.

This seems to have been going on since Harold McMillan was Prime Minister.

I suspect Ainsworth being appointed manager and the pending American takeover are more connected than most people think and you do not have to look too far back to see the link.

I was surprised GA came to us. I'd have raised my eyebrows in surprise, but I get out of breath easily.
