Yes , Winter is well and truly upon us , Looked out of the bedroom window this morning early to see a layer of snow carpeting everywhere . Still snowing now . Got to get from Bicton Village to Harlescott this morning for a dental appointment at 9:30 so that could be fun as even an inch of snow causes mayhem . Oh well , supposed to be getting warmer by week end so floods it is then πππ Anybody out and about today take care - itβs cold out there!

Cold and dry for the rest of the week with heavy rain Saturday

I'll cling on to it still being autumn, if that's okay!
The slog from December to pretty much April is plenty of winter as it is.
Snow looks great today, mind.

My wife is complaining that the snow this year is too bright. This is due to having two cateract operations in the last few weeks. You just can't please some people.

Lovely here in Brighton today. 30 degrees in the shade. Just popping to the shops for a new bottle of suntan lotion.

Lovely here in Brighton today. 30 degrees in the shade. Just popping to the shops for a new bottle of suntan lotion. it was a nice sunny day in Liverpool , it had snowed but long gone by the time I even got halfway there, coming back it was clear until I got closer to Shropshire, it was still the same dull cold white over place as when I left mid morning

How many pensioners are going to get ill in this cold weather as they are scared to put the heating on having lost the winter heating allowance?

How many pensioners are going to get ill in this cold weather as they are scared to put the heating on having lost the winter heating allowance? My mum is like that and yet she could afford to have the heating on 24/7 , i think it's the upbringing during genuine hard times , but yes as you say those that can't afford it now must really be suffering , the system is seriously wrong

I quite like the cold π₯Ά I've changed my mind,my front wiper blade came off this morning as it was frozen to the screen. Massively inconvenient. But now fixed.

I quite like the cold π₯Ά I've changed my mind,my front wiper blade came off this morning as it was frozen to the screen. Massively inconvenient. But now fixed. Once saw a bloke on the M42 fiddling with his wipers under a bridge while it snowed heavily. Later there were reports of loads of cars stuck on the M42 overnight, I hope he wasn't one of them.
