I notice a number of members have deleted their accounts, that's not coincidence. Sadly it's time I made a fresh break too, goodbye B&A. It's a shame we don't know who you are as your name is " deleted"

Firstly, I hate t**tter or X or whatever it’s called now because the owners Isac Unt and have zero time for his right wing rhetoric! Secondly, this is the closest thing I get to Social Media! I don’t mind the fact that people have different opinions and both can defend there sides of the argument with passion. What does bother me is when non-relevant threads are hijacked and turn into point scoring excercises, for want of a better phrase. I think a lot of people who have visited B&A in the last few months have been put off by this and will, hopefully, return when team has a new manager and new ownership. .

I’ve tried to cut back on my social media use a bit and get out of the habit of general doom scrolling through the news and sports channels
With Town and the latest managerial appointment it all seems to be a bit Groundhog Day. Lost a lot of enthusiasm that a change in manager will make much difference but stand to be corrected

Twitter is much better in general for STFC discussion in my opinion, you won’t find many posts turning into arguments.

I definitely do think that there is apathy around the club. I think that there are a few things that have led to this.
I don't think anyone can discount just how bad we've consistently been for several seasons now (barring a few short spells). I think it was Shrews Analysis on twitter who put out some numbers about how few goals we had scored over a number of seasons when compared to the rest of the EFL, how few games it'd been where we had scored more than one etc. It's really hard to be enthusiastic about the club when the most fundamental part - how it performs on the pitch - has consistently been dull as ditchwater.
It's reflected in supporter engagement. We get average gates of what 5,500-6000ish? Yet the last SP meeting I attended in person, I would guess there was about 20-30 people there. Now I know people will say about it being in the evening, in the middle of the working week etc, but I think it's reflective of how few people are actively engaged with town at the moment.
At the moment, I think the club is heavily reliant on habit for people attending matches. There's no incentive to otherwise: you aren't watching good football, you aren't watching local lads play, it's not cheap.
I also think there's a lack of engagement because, for those dissatisfied with the club at the moment, aside from venting on social media, there's no real outlet. We don't have many supporters groups/bodies, and the Supporters Parliament seems to have dropped off because the club are under pressure.
I do think that it would be to the benefit of supporters going forward if we had more organised groups, and the SP sat more independently of the club.
Another reason for the apathy I think is the lack of emotion presented from the club itself. I know that its often seen as unprofessional when players get into arguments on twitter, or when directors have more heated conversations with fans. But at the moment we don't seem to get any of that. I'm sure those at the club do care, but when all you get is a cold face, to me I feel like it's now seen as "You don't care about the club, why should we?"
