Yesterday was a terrible day for STFC. A good 2nd round tie would have given a new managersomrthing to go for and some additional funds for the January window. Perhaps in hindsight if asbr] sacking was on the horizon it should have been done a week ago to try for a new manager bounce against Salford.

He acts when the fans start going for him. Always the same with him… We have a duty to keep the pressure up now, starting with Burton on Saturday. 10 years of the “seeking investment” lies, we cannot let it run any longer whilst our club dies before our eyes Roland out

I vaguely remember those days when the needle got stuck and the record went into repeat, into repeat, into repeat ... Hard to repeat something when I’ve just been banned (again) for 3 weeks! P.S it’s a football message board, where fans post their opinions. Don’t like it, either offer an alternative opinion or jog on We all know your opinion, Roland has the club up for sale, Liam's in post to sell it, is there any need to keep repeating, do you have anything new to say.

Essential requirement for new Head Coach:
- must not have worked with Micky Moore before.

Very strange logic. You don’t want people to discuss the owner of the football club dragging the club back down to League Two, and possibly the National League after that, because it isn’t “new”?

Hmmm🤔 Ryan Lowe not a bad shout. But you know sumfin? I do have a feeling Gav Cowan could be in the Frame. I know nothing though and often get things so wrong. I had similar thoughts regarding Cowan. I like him but don't think it should be him at this point.

Thought we were in the s**te financially? So now we are paying off Hurst and Doig and spend again on a new first team coach/ manager . We must be rolling in it then. I take it Moore/ Parish will be in charge and perhaps that’s it for now , saving us money. Perhaps the best thing to do is use these two until season end and then let a new owner make a decision . This, of course depends on RW finding a buyer . If we are relegated so be it , the main thing is to see Shrewsbury Town F C continue as a football league club.
What worries me is the fact that we are hiring and sacking managers at quite a rate , what is it about Shrewsbury Town that allows that to happen . Are we appointing the cheapest option each time or are we not supporting them financially .
That is the conundrum isn’t it. Appoint someone and provide loads of dosh in the hope he uses it wisely and gets results or see him squander it as a result of poor decision making almost ruining the club. Sounds a bit familiar that doesn’t it. Anyhow, we are where we are , it’s up to us supporters now to get behind the club . Personally although I’m not in favour of DOF as I said at the beginning when Taylor was appointed , I think the Moore/ Parish combination is the immediate way forward . Interesting weeks ahead though with a game against Burton next up.

I feel it has to be a manager that knows the club and what it takes as a salop player.

If RW or Moore is appointing someone to the job (as they will be) It doesn't fill me with optimism at all

I never wanted him back, in fact it was the last thing I wanted after he left the way he did and then came back and took our two best players days before the end of the transfer window. With that said I respect his commitment whilst he has been here. He clearly cared about the role and tried his best. He has been the victim of our finances and I feel bad for him that he has got another sacking on his CV when he always had to perform miracles. I stand by what I said before, no manager better than Hurst will want to come near us when its most likely we are going to go down without any funds. I hope I am wrong and we have not just wasted money getting rid of Hurst for the same result. Pretty sums up mine and a lot of Salop fans view I think. I didn’t think it was the best of ideas to bring him back and when or MM is signing the likes of Toto Nsiala et al he’s on a hiding to nothing. The one hope is we can get a change of performances from the young on loan players with a new manager as it was clear Hurst and Doig weren’t impressed. Paul Hurst is, by all accounts, a really nice guy so wish him well where ever he ends up.

I wish him all the best as he steps back onto the managerial merry go round with another pocket full of cash. What a crazy job. You would think the next stop could be the National League where our previous two managers have ended up. Micky Mellon also there. Hope he does stay in the league tho. Always found him to be very pleasant as was Chris Doig .

I am very disappointed that STFC have sacked Paul Hurst & Chris Doig. Surely the main blame must go to the director of football, Micky Moore and his team for their poor recruitment of players who mainly consist of division 2 players and not division 1. We never hear from Micky Moore and he never makes any club statements. The only time I have seen and heard Moore is on open days at the club and on the podcast with Sam Aiston, Dave Edwards etc and he seemed to “big” himself up too much. He has not achieved that much in his football managing career apart from one decent signing when he was at Cheltenham. He and his team have not brought any players that stand out from the rest of the players that he has been responsible for. Let’s have a statement from you Micky??

Never liked this " director of football" s**t.....and his merry men..... haven't done anything for this football club,as proved by the position we're in,and costing a fortune to boot.....paying a fortune to do some paperwork and a bit of scouting.....mal Starkey was doing those jobs years ago,and probably getting paid peanuts..... I'm at a loss to be honest🤦🤦
