Hello all, had been thinking of going to the U23 game on Tuesday night with my 5 year old. Naively, I've only just checked for tickets and noticed that only the RW and South stand have been opened which are pretty much sold out - apart from a safe standing section which looks like it's just had tickets released. I just wondered if anyone has had any experience of safe standing with a young child and what chances they have of being able to see in that area, especially if it's full up. Also, does anyone know if they are likely to open up the other areas of the ground? Thanks

Scrap that, I've just read that the safe standing has been converted to seating for this fixture. Will be interested to see what the rails seats are like, slightly worried that the rail will give an obstructed view for a child tbh.

Rather watch our game on Saturday, on a loop than watch this but each to their own.
Good luck ladies.

The attendances rarely come anywhere near the official figures for these games as schools / junior football teams are given free tickets which they don’t use. You’ll find empty ‘normal’ seats just fine.

Sat in the Safe standing and enjoyed the game I realised how gloomy it seems when we just use our own floodlights, we really need an upgrade.

Yes we went, 5yr old thoroughly enjoyed it. The game took a while to get going but the last 60 mins was a good watch and England dominated. The safe standing rail seats do not work well for young children. 5yr old could not see over the top of the rail unless stood up so we moved to some spare normal seats.
