Whilst I profoundly disagreed with his political stance, it is fair to say that at least people knew exactly what his beliefs were, which is not something that can be said of either of his successors as FM.

I am flattered to have my opinion associated, even in a small way, with that of David Davis - for my money rapidly assuming the dubious honour of becoming the "best leader the Conservative Party never had", previously held for many years by R.A. Butler...
