postponed due to international call ups tier 8 football, I once played in tier 11 I feel like I almost made it when I hear stories like this , I think its lancing that have players away, actually 4 of them, 2 are from Bermuda, and 2 are due to play for England 6 a side three bridges is a side that is about 4 minutes drive from Crawley , so now this is off there could be a full house at the town game ;-) in the same division 5th having played a game or 2 more, Margate, only 20 years ago town opened the season against margate and failed to beat them, and then later in the season , away lowest attendance ive ever been to a town game at, we left it very late to beat 10 men but still one of my favourite away trips of all time

You fail to mention that the Margate away game about 10 days before Christmas was played at Dover due to Margates ground being redeveloped. It was also on a Sunday after Dover had played their the day before so the pitch was a bit of a mess.
I guess we had just a few more watching the game than were attending the wedding reception that was in the Dover social club at the same time.
Jody Banim wonder goal from just around the centre circle for the 1st.

I do remember we had a goal ruled out for offside midway seconds half and it was never off , I was on a 360 tour of the unsegregated ground and was in line for that one , and yes banim 2 goals for the town , Both from the halfway line

My memory tells me Ryan Lowe scored one of those but it's probably wrong. Was a truly awful game, but such a novel occasion, definitely one of my favourite ever away days.

Totally agree with all your sentiments. Sure it was Lowe who put the second away late on to seal the win. He ran in front of where I was standing, I leaned over the fence to pat him on the back and fell over and onto the pitch much to the amusement of everyone around.

I couldn't remember Lowe scoring but I think he got the first from a Quinny cross, Banims goal was the result of them throwing everyone including the keeper up for a very late corner , hence his goal from halfway into an unguarded goal
