Old school pylons are iconic, how many people in the days before google maps would’ve found an away ground by just looking for the lights. The ground looks better with them there. I think Telford's got them? I was with a kid at the playground on the route from the station when a strict looking guy with a holdall ( the ref no doubt) asked if he was on the right track for the staduim. Yes, I said, just down there, then you'll see the floodlights. |

I went with my dad and his chum to the old Gresty Road at Crewe. We parked in a side street and looked for the floodlights. We ended up in the Rail marshalling yard who had for more impressive lights than the Alex. |

Used this system for Orient last season. Ended up at the Lea Valley Ice Rink. My son was tracking my progress from the Orient social club and told his mates “the old man’s really lost it” |
