If we keep throwing leads away then its going to be tight, but I hope that won't happen against some of the smaller teams.
Whilst there is always a chance its important to to believe.

From what we’ve seen to date, I can only say going down.

Im currently in the going down camp too. Doesn't look like polls can be setup anymore on this board, but i'll tally up what everyone says and will ask the same question at the halfway point of the season for some comparison

Going down and fully in the acceptance stage.
Could be the reset the club needs and it might be nice to enter a season with at least some hope of staying out of a relegation dogfight.

Most likely going down at this rate but I have seen more than enough to see how we could stay up. Just need to keep the team together and confidence as high as possible.
This is still a new squad and Hurst is still finding out his best 11 and formation.

Obviously on relegation form just now, but only needs a run of decent results to change things dramatically. However I'm more hopefully of this than expectant.

Are we staying up or going down? I predicted bottom before the season started, looking at the table tonight a win next week would be massive and possibly lift us out of the bottom 4 , there are also some other contenders for relegation making themselves known this time last season we had the negative fans describing how lucky we were to be in the position we were in, well I think we are a tab unlucky this season not to be a little higher I might mock the manager from time to time with his terrible run of results but I dont see that changing him will help in any way shape or form next up brum, tough game that doesnt really matter too much win lose or draw, a win would be great but I hope we are more focussed on next saturday instead

Going down
But today dangles the carrot of a glimmer of hope. We were class first 35 minutes today, and battled like hell the remainder m
More of that commitment and desire and we might just have a chance

We’re going down but we’ll look better on many occasions than we did on seasons we stayed up. It’s an unforgiving league this time around.

Assuming we are still aiming for the magical 50 point mark, we need 45 points from 36 games which seems one hell of an ask when we've got 5 from 10. Unfortunately for us I don't see enough teams for us to beat to get to that mark.
At least yesterday showed that the team is capable of some quality and fight so we may not be worrying about lowest points total.

We are keeping Paul Hurst, we are staying up, just. He had bad spells when he was with us before, once we've got over how to come out with the same fight second half we can do it. For once, cricket has the right idea, if it started pouring with rain from half time we would gain the points under the Duckworth Lewis method

It's worth noting that half our games so far were against teams currently in the top 10 and we deserved a lot more out of games than we got. We also had a terrible defence for 7 of them games that now looks to have been sorted. Add to that we seem to have had a lot of injuries and things are not as bad as the table suggests.

I think the only thing that potentially saves us is a takeover before January.
There’s no point in spending money we haven’t got to sack Hurst for not performing miracles with the shoestring budget.

Our defence was a shambles midweek against Stockport, the goals we conceded were really bad

Not sure if this has been posted before so apologies if it has - the link below shows league table positions based on first half and second half performances. First half has us in a very healthy eighth place one point outside the playoffs - second half we are rock bottom!! If we can up our second half play then we may just have a chance of staying up!!

thanks for doing that , i went through our results, in 9 out of ten games we conceded goals in the second half, in some of the games we had also conceded goals in the first half. as your data shows if we could stop conceding the goals in the second half ,we would be picking up more points' dont know why but our performances are poorer in the second half .

We've got to finish first or second in the mini league of six already forming at the bottom of the table. It's going to be a long hard grind but it's possible.

Only thing that matters is can Hurst and the team get us out of this mess?

I think after 10 games now,the players are getting used to Hurst and co...and vice versa, it's no good changing now.performances are improving slowly, and I'm hoping,in the next 2 games we can pick up 4/6 PTS,with a more effort and desire like yesterday......we need to!!

Staying up.
We are so much better on the eye than in recent years.
Let’s all get down to Crawley and get behind the boys.

We were absolutely crap in midweek so let’s not pretend there’s any pattern of improving performances Yesterday was much better, but it was very much a one off so far
