Biggest disappointment today was the goals were all at the other end So not much to moan about really Nice day out Well Done town 👍 Shout out to the fans who travelled though They were the only ones singing for large parts of the game... big effort

We were so good for 25 minutes or so, and then the quality started to tell and it always felt like if they scored early enough they’d turn it around and win it.
Therefore, somehow, thanks to the timings of the goals, it still felt like a point gained rather than two points lost, which is a bit mad really.
Our squad is nowhere near the level of Bolton’s and that’s why we can be thankful for today’s draw. The run of games coming up though, that’s the time to step up. What a great point to build on, if we are able to beat those around us.
I thought Rossiter and Ojo were great today. It’s exactly the type of game they’re made for, and they gave it everything.

Yes, happy to get a point woth a great backs-to-the wall performance but boy oh boy what a dreadful decision by the ref to give us a free kick when Ojo was through. One of the worst decisions I've seen. Bizarre. Inexplicable. Shockingly inept. And Evatt? What a plonker to be sent off after ranting at the ref. He gave Bolton nearly everything. I think this moment tipped me over the edge, could barely speak after the game I ranted at the ref that much And totally agree, I was completely perplexed at full time, why were Bolton kicking off!? Referee gave them absolutely everything all game, he was a disgrace

How has Shipley not been getting minutes recently… What a stunning first half hour, flabbergasted. Ask the numerous posters on here who spend their time bleating about him every time he plays without noticing the work he gets through off the ball. Yes, his free kicks and corners have been a let down, but Bennings were absolutely no improvement. I made my wishes known after Tuesday - change to 3-5-2 and ask Santa for an early present a team without our two regular (up to now) full backs. This off course would have seen a return for Nurse. I also bemoaned the fact that Hurst seemed to have frozen out certain players. Her presto, Marquis and Shipley suddenly reappear. Finally I am so far very impressed with the work that Jordan Rossiter gets through and his all round reading of the game. Agree regarding Shipley. He works his nuts off. I feel like he’s getting put in the same box as Bayliss which is unfair.

I assume that's what they was moaning about. It was probably more frustration that they could not get a winner.

It looks very much to me like he says "play me more" to Hurst twice. He was very good yesterday but we need him to turn in those performances more consistently. I agree on the formation. It worked very well for most part. Marquis' best game to date.

What a masterstroke from the manager to play players proven at League 1 level.
The man's a tactical genius.

Who was the Bolton player who last season said Shipley would never score another goal like that again ?
Hope it was someone who played for them yesterday 🤩

Marquis' best game to date. which is the issue but then again if he did that every week, he would be playing at a higher level. whilst I'm glad he scored and had a good game. what i see too often is him running around aimlessly or he just seems zoned out and slow to react too what is going on around him. i just hope we now see more of the Shipley who turned up against Burton.

Check out this taken from the Bolton website about last seasons 2-2 draw in April...
"That left Shrews’ packed defence with less than a quarter of the game to hold out, thanks to a miserly amount of added time allowed by referee Scott Oldham"
Ian Evatt was in charge then too. So same ref. Explains why Evatt was raging after.
