I spotted this clip today , it's sheff wed v York, well worth waiting 4+ minutes on a nostalgia trip , so many things we forget that used to happen , some classy play from Wednesday here and yet they finished bottom

Replays 3 or 4 days after the original game, none of this 10 day delay nonsense.
Four Divisions labelled 1 to 4 all under the same operator, money shared much more fairly with bigger clubs buying from those lower done.
Much smaller squads at the top, no shirt number 45 or the like.
Very few foreign nationals in our teams but plenty of Scots, Welsh and Irish.
Hardly any loanees.

Yep,simply done in those days 1-11 shirt numbers,and the same players wearing them year after year, pretty much.the only one I can remember going for big money was Jim Holton to utd for £80000...was it 71/72
