Tuesday 19:45 @ the Meadow
Live on Sky Sports+
Stockport haven't won in the league since 24th August when they dispatched Brizzle Rvrs 2 nil. Their record is 3W 3D 1L and currently sit in 9th having played a game less than us.
Let's see your predictions and lineups for this one please. I recon another draw.

I'll go 2-0 to Salop !!!
Wouldn't change much but hope Josh Feeney is available along with O'Reilly and a sub keeper on the bench.

I'd definitely take a draw although in reality we need to start picking up some victories. Unfortunately I can't see it and I've got a feeling they will be too much for us, particularly in an attacking sense. The thought of Louie Barry against Aaron Pierre doesn't install much confidence.

The thought of any forward against Pierre installs zero confidence in me the same goes for Nasala

We need a win but I'll be amazed if we do. So I think a draw will be as good as it gets. We must score first otherwise we will lose.

I wonder if Hurst will refresh the midfield engine room as the lads who started there did a lot of running on Saturday. Talking of lots of running Lloyd did a very passable imitation of the Duracell Bunny against Rotherham and it would be great to see him have a partner upfront with him just behind Marquis or Bloxham playing through the middle.

I suppose I can play football manager in hindsight on here, but if Marquis wasn't to come on I'd have thought of moving Lloyd out wide. To be fair to Bloxham when he came on he took up position on the right and did get some ground against the full back.

If we can just have 4 shots and 3 corners again at least everyone will go home delighted 😄
And to think we once drew 1-1 away from home , had 25 shots , 8 corners and went into a b&a meltdown that lasted weeks 😀

No but if there is an improvement on 4 shots and 3 corners perhaps that's the way forward,
Wasn't it Micky Mellon who said respect the point. I share some feelings with you Pilch it wasn't always great to shut up and settle for a draw but it may have given Savin and some of the youngsters some confidence that they can do things tomorrow night.

Josh Feeney is okay, TOR has trained but Kayode won't be ready for a week or so.
I expect it will be unchanged as well.

I don’t think he’ll risk playing Winchester. Probably needs a rest. Rossiter would be straight swap. Other than that same team.

He's got a knock, didn't post it in case Stockport entel were reading.
If Winchester doesn't make it I'd bring Perry back, He can bus stuff up to Castledine, Ojo and Gilliead can cope shielding the back four.
I'd consider Shipley in for Sagoe on the basis of bringing Sagoe on who's pace might count for more in the final 30 minutes. there was a lack of a plan b once Castledine and Sagoe's legs went on Saturday.

I think the point of pace is interesting. I would be starting Shipley and Marquis to rough up the defence. Then when they are knackered from all that defending...bring on the likes of Sageo and Lloyd to run them ragged. Yes...I'm aware i would never be a manager haha

I think the defence picks itself but the other six places are really up for grabs apart from Castledine. You can make a case for all the others to start which is as it should be. However, our subs are not changing the course of the game as they should. Bloxham is the exception to this, especially against Orient obviously. He scares defenders with his pace and power but there's only ever one player in the box to aim for. The midfield have to offer more support if we are to score goals.
I hope O'Reilly is at least on the bench and gets about 30minutes.
We are getting better slowly and the tide will turn soon. I'm going for 2:1.

Hurst seems a bit on edge in this interview.
Players fault for not following instructions. apparently formations don't matter its down to the players to make it work. He then goes on to say the opposition keep changing formation which helps them get back into the game. Fails to see that it is his responsibility to counter any changes by the opposition before its too late.

I'd definitely take a draw although in reality we need to start picking up some victories. Unfortunately I can't see it and I've got a feeling they will be too much for us, particularly in an attacking sense. The thought of Louie Barry against Aaron Pierre doesn't install much confidence. They have drawn 3 and got battered (By a team we beat comfortably) in the last 4 games. They had a good start but lets not make them into something they are not. We were poor on Saturday and were still arguably worth the 3 points. The two games before that we should have won comfortably on chances created. The 2nd half mentality needs addressing but we are nowhere near as bad as our league position suggests.

The 2nd half mentality needs addressing but we are nowhere near as bad as our league position suggests. You can keep going on about how many chances we are making and it's 'just' our finishing that is letting is down but that is pretty fundamental. But besides, we didn't have a single shot (on or off target) after 28 minutes on Saturday, that is not a team that is screaming deserving of 3 points and creating lots of chances It's all about opinions of course, personally I couldn't disagree with you more and think that anyone who thinks 'results will come' or 'we're in a false position' is living in denial. We have won 1 in 8 this season and that stretches back to 1 in 15 if you include last season, we are exactly where we deserve to be As for Stockport, I agree that we shouldn't fear them but with our recent form it's no surprise that I'm not too hopeful of getting a good result. Let's hope I'm wrong
