If you haven't got any desire to go out and win a football game,in the 90 minutes.....don't bother trotting out onto the pitch.had it last week for 45 mins, but after Mansfield equalised, they didn't show enough bottle or desire to go out and get another goal, and win the game

One of the 3 of TOR, J.Feeney and Nsiala could feature. Would like to think that would be one of the Villa pair.

That's disappointing to hear...all the games i've seen the lads have gave everything.
I was dreading this game earlier in the week. But something has changed my mind. Am I sick? 🤣

It's about having the quality, something we are lacking

Whatever happens today instead of us saying the team gave 100% , I want to be able to say the manager did too , come on hursty get your tactics right , I remember the 2-1 at their place in the near promotion season , no way should we have won that and yet we did , this season is the opposite where are not only losing games we should lose but we are losing games we could have won too , find a way to win today and not find a way to lose
Come on town 2-1 🙏

That's an incredible stat! Maybe we could beat it 🤣 I see their last away league win was back in Nov 2022 Sheffield Utd in the Champ. Then Stoke before that Oct 2022. So no away wins in 23/24 and two away wins in 22/23.

Not sure how he would do it with Toto and Feeney injured. Hurst's plan B has been terrible this season but Plan A has worked really well without the finishing to match. 5 at the back only works with decent wingbacks. Benning would be ok but I would have big concerns about Hoole being our main attacking threat on the RW.

Sorry to share this, but I've just seen it and can see the inevitable coming so thought Id have to inflict it on you all😉 I don't have Instagram so I'm glad you gave me a summary I'm not surprised by that stat . It is rather depressing when you see it in black and white how dire we are. 🥺 x.com/fbrates/status/1839578947509494138?t=wC2cwogfe6RPj0Pb0EFjrQ&s=19Blimey 39 away games without a win!! I think Hurst has not got the tactics right in some games, Wrexham springs to mind. Wrexham are known for using there wingers, our right and left backs were struggling not setting the team up to give them extra protection was asking for trouble But all armchair managers can be incredibly wise after the event. I'm not exception. 😀 Equally he can give players instructions and do things on the training ground but once the players get on the pitch, there is a limit to what he can do. If his recent interviews are anything to go buy. He is getting frustrated that players are not following his instructions.

That, and making simple mistakes, toto last week, and Savin against Charlton, benning against Peterborough and wxm🤷🤷 I initially pointed fingers at Savin but having seen the replay I dont think he was to blame, there were certainly many others more culpable than he was for that goal, basic defending errors than I hope we have gone a long way to putting right

He’s pretty shocking at the back but going forward against Mansfield he looked a different player. Maybe RWB is more his thing. We’ll see..

There's one heck of a lot of experience within our defenders so hopefully they can cut out those costly mistakes.

Hope to see 5 at the back today.
Based on PH’s comments on injuries I’d like to see
Savin
Gillied Hoole M Feeney Pierre Shipley
Winchester Oso
Casledine Sago Jnr (both playing off)
Marquis
5-2-2-1

Based on PH’s comments on injuries I’d like to see Savin Gillied Hoole M Feeney Pierre Shipley Winchester Oso Casledine Sago Jnr (both playing off) Marquis 5-2-2-1 That's less defenders than before! If it's a back 5 I'd be very surprised if Hoole and Benning aren't at least one of the wing backs, if not both. If it's back 5 I'd guess at Savin Hoole Feeney Feeney Pierre Benning Winchester Gilliead Castledine Shipley Lloyd If back 4, take out one of the centre backs and replace with Ojo

Hoole offers the pace as a RCB to cover and has played the system before, likewise Gillead comfortable at wing back. If we go 5 at the back we can’t make the same mistake as previous seasons ending up with centre half’s playing as wing backs

I’d go for 4-4-1-1 today.
1.Savin 2.Hoole 3.Benning 4.Pierre 5.M.Feeney 6.Winchester 7.Ojo 8.Sagoe.jr 9.Gilliead 10.Castledine 11.Lloyd
Don’t think he’s got enough fit defenders to play any different to 4 at the back. Castledine to play just behind Lloyd.
