Israel planted explosives in thousands of Hezbollah pagersRight or wrong, some will be on both sides of the fence with regards to this. But the planning and secrecy that went into this is incredible. From someone getting the order, planting the explosives in the pager in the manufacturing process, delivering them and then no one checking/opening up one to check that they aren't compromised is mind blowing. The sheer number of pagers involved and even who had one including the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon.

With so many involved not sure how Israel could be sure they were targeting genuine targets.
Seems they may have been widely used by families of Hezbollah members……
“Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah urged Hezbollah members and their families to ditch their mobile phones.”
So is it justifiable to target family members? We’ll soon find out who the end targets were I guess …….

Reuters: Israel 'planted small amount of explosives inside 5,000 pagers'

Reuters news agency reports, external that Israel's Mossad spy agency planted a small amount of explosives inside 5,000 Taiwan-made pagers ordered by Lebanese group Hezbollah - months before Tuesday's detonations, citing a senior Lebanese security source and another source.
Reuters also adds that the plot appears to have been many months in the making, citing several sources.

Israel never cares who it kills! And Hamas or Hezbollah do? My point with starting this thread was to go down the route of how this came to happen not the whole Politics/Religion aspect that's covered elsewhere on this board. The whole truth how this happened will probably not be revealed but if it can be done with pagers what else has been compromised? |
