so a villa player accidentally handles it halfway inside his own half but its play on, 21 seconds later after 7 passes to various villa players later villa score, and VAR pulls it back for the handball the question is if a player handles it what are their team supposed to do for the next however long ? it wasnt even the worst VAR decision in the game, that was to rule out another Villa goal for handball obsurd !

Totally agree with you - two ludicrous decisions and its a good job Villa still won comfortably anyway.

There are two codes of football now, those with VAR and those without VAR.
Despite the woes of STFC I'd still rather be without VAR.
And yes I was at the Meadow the day of that 'Wycombe goal'

The big advantage of lower league football, no VAR. The powers that be have ruined the game of football at the highest level. Great performance and result for Villa but it could have been so different.

The Villa scenario was absurd. VAR has ruined top flight football. For better or worse let the ref decide. Only if there is uncertainty as to whether the ball has crossed the line should VAR be used. Otherwise, they'll come a time when fans don't celebrate a goal and wait until VAR has checked back.

VAR has ruined the game at the top level as others have stated.
But TV has also altered the game hugely too, and not for the best in many cases.
Just dont forget that us at a lower level have been largely immune to TV and all its alterations till now. Let's just hope we escape the 'wonders' of VAR for a long while longer.

the top players are more bothered about striking at the moment, poor guys have just realised the super league in disguise actually did arrive this week
their moan basically comes down to them wanting all other clubs not involved in Europe (like Crystal Palace, Leeds, shrewsbury etc ) playing less games and making less money so they can play more games for even bigger money
and yet they have far bigger squads than them too

I've not watched a Premier league game for 2 years or more (wow! That'll teach them) it must be difficult to run around aimlessly for maybe three hours a week and that Airline food is terrible Bless
