I`m pretty late to the party with this podcast so I`ve been playing catch up. Got Jemmo and Grolty. Which other old boys have appeared on it or which good mentions of Salop?

There’s Aaron Wilbraham and his Steve Cotterill stories as well as Colin Cramb on patron (pay per month). There’s also a John Mcginley episode which I’ve not yet listened to as he was before my time.
Top 5 which I definitely recommend listening to are Andy Johnson, Simon Ferry, Paddy Kenny, Marc Bircham and Andy Woodman. Andy Woodman did tell a good story of playing away at Gay Meadow for Oxford and getting multiple stitches because of a kick to the face from Nigel Jemson and the Salop fans taking the p**s.
Definitely the best podcast on YouTube, I’m currently listening to Stephen Warnock’s which is very good so far.

Did listen to it a while ago, but found it got quite repetitive and quite dull blokey football banter. Interesting to an extent but think quite a lot of footballers stories essentially aren't that different Don't mind In the Stiffs but that still gets a bit tired. Maybe I will try some of the town old boys on Under the Cosh for a bit of reminiscing though

Listen to Kevin Campbells episode . His son was with us for a time. He tells a story about his time playing in Turkey . A really good episode. Yes, some episodes are rather repetitive and some players go on and on about getting p**sed and falling out with Managers etc, etc A few refer to team mates defecating in the bath and think it’s highly amusing or getting up to mindless acts of vandalism to each others property etc, etc. Even more than a few fights with teammates . There are a fair few gems on there . I really enjoyed Lou Macari’s tales and what he has done for the homeless in Stoke . Also try and find the episode with Craig Bromfield who Brian Clough took in . He was 13 at the time and lived with his abusive stepfather . An incredible story . Mark Crossley too referring to the time he played in goal in the first division on the Saturday and for Clough’s son’s Sunday league side the day after with Archie Gemmill running the line. Very funny episode .

Not Salop-related, but I’d highly recommend the Paul Caddis episode. Really funny guy, and he speaks for quite a while about his time under Paolo Di Canio at Swindon which is fascinating.

Seen the Paul Caddis episode and agree it is really good but nothing compared to Simon Ferry’s stories on Di Canio. Here’s 25 minutes of Ferry on Di Canio, had me in tears crying with laughter this. Like I said earlier though, Andy Johnson is the number one must see. The bloke should be a stand up comedian, funniest stories I’ve heard 🤣

That`s a quality clip! Really enjoyed the Kev Campbell one too. And quite enjoyed the referee ones I`ve seen; different perspectives!

Particularly liked the referee Kevin Lynch talking about “ open season” on Ian Wright . so be honest I didnt like hearing what he did to Ian wright, im by no means wrights biggest fan, in fact I really disliked him as a player but I've played games like that with the ref both on my side and then against my side and its really stinks at the time, and makes me wonder how often it actually does go on , most weeks some would believe but after some games now and then I really think the ref cheated at times

Liam Lawrence is on there but its one episode I refuse to listen too, possibly my all time most disliked person to ever be involved with STFC He barely mentioned Salop at all when he was on there, so you didn’t miss much.
