Pretty good summary there Ian. Something that made my day even less enjoyable - being unable to keep up with you all on the way back to the car, due to a knee ligament injury that is showing no sign of improvement since Bolton away in April, I decided that as I was walking alone it would be wise to hide all club colours so I zipped up my fleece and limped slowly along. I stopped as I reached the roundabout on the main road to wait for a cap in the traffic. Suddenly a figure stopped immediately in front of me and eyeballed me from no more than a foot away. He was accompanied by two mates who didn’t seem interested but he gave the distinct impression that he fancied aggro. The guy looked as though he could have been a forty something year old son of Bert Large from Doc Martin. He was about 5’8” tall and similar in width wearing on old Wrexham shirt at least two sizes too small and a pair of shorts that he could have tucked into his socks. I know you shouldn’t judge people on appearance but I wondered if he would be able to read or write. The stand off probably lasted no more than 30 seconds during which I decided even without the dodgy knee I would not be able to run for cover so I smiled and said “you all right, Mate” which seemed to wrong foot him and he turned along the path, leaving me to scuttle across the road without a backward glance.
One other observation from looking at your photo if their programme: my first impression was that the cover had been designed by an 8 year old in the final ten minutes of the school day before heading for home.

Yeh, our matchday programmes this season are going to see a programme cover from yesteryear recreated for each match.

Yeh, our matchday programmes this season are going to see a programme cover from yesteryear recreated for each match. Yeah, fair enough, seems a good idea, creates a bit of interest particularly for those who remember the days when Wrexham had Eddie May and Arfon Griffiths playing for them . A change from the usual covers which are , in the main , quite boring . I’m not just referring to Wrexham’s programmes but programmes in general. The way we’re going we will be putting our Managers on the front over , we’ve had enough of em lately .😉
