Out of a population of just over five million people in New Zealand ,Marois make up nearly one million. Historically they have faced bigotery and unfair treatment.marois face economic and social obstacles. With lower incomes, lowered life expectancy, higher levels of health issues than the non Maroi population and a disprtionate levels of imprisonment. Which is sadly the case for aborigines and native Americans
The previous Labour government put into effect a number of laws to try to rebalance things. The present conservative party and there allies are trying to row back from this legislation.[br
