I'd hoped I'd be informing everybody in a better way than this, but yes we will be disbanding as a group. It's been coming over the past 9 months and after a few games this season I've realised that, as effectively the last member of the original group left, I don't have the time and energy for it any more. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the posts on this thread and I certainly don't take any offence to anything that has been posted. Say it ain't so! Real shame if it does wind up. So many good memories of the front of block 9 ss over the years

Sad news but I know much time Justin (and a small group of others) have put in, therefore it isn't surprising and perhaps fans take it for granted.
I know some will look to the club but ultimately this is down to fans to make it work and in very simple terms you need more people willing to support the preparation and then more people willing to to actually make an atmosphere on matchday. Let's hope that both of those can be found in the future.

The Southstand was always the way to go to improve the atmosphere but it's clear that we just don't have enough people willing/able to generate an atmosphere for two singing sections. Hopefully another group take up the rains of generating an atmosphere in safe standing.
I never really bought the acoustic argument until I sat in block 2 in the cup game. The difference in noise levels from the Southstand and the away end in block 2 compared to block 18 is night and day. Notts County fans sounded really load, a lot louder than away followings twice the size. I dont really understand why it's so different from one side of the pitch to the other when the ground is symetrical. It does explain why Pilch was always critical of the noise from block 19 though.

The South stand has come alive in the last few seasons and a lot of that has come down to the time and effort that you and the group have put into making it so. Thanks for all your efforts.

I think pretty much the entire fanbase appreciates the work done by him and SSF. The atmosphere at our games has generally been far better than most other clubs I’ve been to over the last six seasons or so. Any criticisms of the current atmosphere at games comes from the right place. Would just be a real shame if the club regressed back to the pre-safe standing atmospheres that we used to see at games.

Exactly, somebody tried to stir up trouble, which is hardly surprising, any potential misunderstanding (which didn’t exist in the first place) has been cleared up in private 👍🏼

Thanks for your work over the years Justin, theres been regular periods over the years where the South Stand's had as good an atmosphere as anywhere else in the league and you/SSF are a big reason for that.
Things change as people get older, and that's understandable enough as a reason to stop. Hope you're still able to enjoy going to games, freed of some of the time and effort running things there led to, and that over time new individuals and groups can take on the mantle.
