I miss the written summaries on the club website of video interviews with the manager and players. A quick browse and you knew what their views were. We don't seem to get those any more. What are the chances of them being re-instated? Or am I out of step in preferring the written reports to the vids?

No I agree with you. I’m assuming it’s because no one can string a sentence together anymore.
To be honest I am rapidly losing interest in the whole thing. There is virtually nothing to interest me on the site anymore. The only way I can find what I’m looking for is to follow a link someone has put here.
Yesterday was a prime example when I looked for news of our latest loan. The headline was still the post match stuff from Saturday. If there hadn’t been a link posted here I wouldn’t have bothered.
I prefer reading to listening but then I’m old fashioned. I still read books rather than electronic whatever it’s called!

I miss the historical ‘results’ in the Matches section. You used to be able to select a year and it would bring up results and a match report for all games going back 10 plus years. Now only this season, not a complaint but hardly progress.
Maybe there’s some bits I haven’t found yet?

Isn't it progress that we now have our own website and not attached to a template , all part of maximising potential revenue , I guess such an archive is very time consuming but could happen in time |

I'm not sure its 'our website' - it just looks like the EFL standard template has changed, other clubs that used it now look just the same as ours.

Agree - finding the match videos and interviews is easiest from links on here, or searches on youtube. As an example you need to go on to youtube to get the Bolton prematch interview from Paul Hurst because they've missed the link in the article. No idea where the match videos are on the website now. At least they have sorted out the ticket links - for cup games they were either in home tickets or cup tickets; but not the same place twice in a row. Is the website being done by volunteers ? It is a pretty important communication tool to leave to amateurs. |

I’m another person who misses the written post match manager interviews. Quite often I’m out and about and not able to play a 10 minute video so it’s bizarre that they’ve stopped doing them, especially as the same would apply for people who have actually attended the game.
For example the likes of myself, Northwestman and Grizzly used to enjoy dissecting the manager’s thoughts over a continental lager whilst tightly packed into a pub awaiting the 5:30 Premiership kick-off.
Now we dare not find a quiet moment to watch the video in case we miss any of the pre-match thoughts of Neville and Carragher.

I also miss them a lot, but presumed I was the only one lol.
Some guy on facebook takes photos of the Shropshire Star articles and posts them.
I get a lot of my readable quotes from there these days.

The club will probably have all manner of statistics that they base their media decisions on - how many views a website article gets, a YouTube video, a social media post etc, and it’s probably a conscious decision to not prioritise the website. Not that that’s particularly acceptable if it is the case, the club should have a consistent offering across all platforms to ensure no fan misses out.

I can scan a written piece quickly to find the interesting bits and skip over the cliches but you have to watch the whole unedited video, which takes much longer. As a result I've no idea what Hurst is saying about the state of things because I don't watch his interviews. |

Transcripts of video is also easier these days with AI. Should be doable on the cheap. Maybe do a vote before raising in SP to get numbers? Puts some weight behind it.
