I'm a big fan and will be doing my best to get tickets. I'm not going to suggest they are the greatest band musically or anything like that, but they were the soundtrack of a generation, a bit like the Stone Roses in that sense. People are suggesting they are doing it for the money like it's a big secret, of course they are, my gut feel is Liam & Noel have been best of mates for years but been dragging this out, the longer it goes on, the bigger the clamour and the more money they will make.
The one thing that has made me laugh on the response on social media over the last 48 hours, is the amount of people who feel the need to say they don't like them. I have no issue with people not liking them, it would be boring if we all liked the same stuff, but there's loads of bands who reform and go on unexpected tours and I've never felt the need to tell the world they aren't someone I'd be interested in seeing. Although on the other hand, the gatekeeping from 'true' Oasis fans about who should get tickets is equally as tedious.

I’m nit bothered at all but if I were a fan I’d be delighted.
Whether it’s worth the fact it’s the headline news on the BBC site is another matter!

I can understand the hype, if either the housemartins or the beautiful south where reuniting I'd be clambering for tickets, then again it's just aswell Paul Heaton decided to carry on regardless

Obviously the first time Noel and Liam have played together for some time is big news, although it hardly seems Oasis ever went away as both have been featuring heavily on the festival circuit for years as solo acts, and their sets feature a lot of Oasis tunes
Thought Definitely Maybe was a good album but only time I saw them live was at V festival when they were terrible and I wandered off to see Super Fury Animals instead
Not really a fan of the big stadium shows anymore either so not for me but I’m sure the shows will be a sell out

It’s a generational thing, my middle aged children will be queuing up for tickets while I regard them as a sub standard Beatle tribute band.
This tour must have been organised for ages, big venues have to be booked years in advance.

Some fantastic live shows with a great atmosphere but some poor shows, the last one in particular (2009 at Heaton Park) wasn't a great experience, partly their performance was flat but there were loads of little Liam Gallagher wannabees in the crowd which meant it wasn't enjoyable. Like you I prefer smaller gigs so whilst I will try and get tickets, I won't be devastated if I don't manage to get one and I certainly won't be paying silly money through touts. The ideal scenario would be to watch them at a small warm up gig (assuming they do them) but the chances of getting those tickets are going to be next to zero.

I'll be definitely trying to get some tickets. Seen them several times and the opportunity to get covered in p**s and second hand smoking people's joints is too good to miss! As previously mentioned, soundtrack to a generation and will be gutted if/when they are too expensive. The wife will forgive me if it costs too much right?

Good band didn't get passed the second album .
Hotel prices around their summer 25 gigs have sky rocketed.
Always preferred my music in a grotty dive.

I’m slightly surprised the Manchester shows are at Heaton Park too as its reputation as a venue and traffic links are not the best. Some time since I saw stuff there but was a pretty horrible experience and more investment may have gone in but expect people will need to get there a few hours before the show and expect a couple of hours to get out. Plus there is the usual inflated prices for poor beer and food Would have thought Man City’s ground would have been considered with the Gallagher’s link to the club but it maybe wasn’t available of cost too much to hire

Anything that can put British music back on top is fine by me. Regarding the media hype, well, why not, Abba got the same sort of hype and they were only performing as flippin holograms.

I went to see the Stone Roses at the Etihad and it was a hell of a lot better Personally I'll be glad at about 9.05 on Saturday when tickets have sold out and it's done. The past few days there's endless articles/comments about cost of tickets, how the tickets will be sold, fans moaning about how 'true' fans could miss out, hotels upping their prices, criticism of what the crowd will be made up and then endless posts about whether Oasis were any good or not. It reminds me of a big cup draw for the town, initially lots of excitement and then reality hits.

Great band and hoping to get tickets for Croke Park. Very hit and miss live but when they are good they’re excellent! Funny Oasis anecdotes, Noel threatened too punch me in the head outside the Hammersmith Palais when I mentioned to him the fact that he looked a lot like Parker out of the Thunderirds! His them missus, the party loving Meg, saved me by dragging him away!

Did anyone have any luck?
I tried although used the term very loosely, I went onto Ticketmaster on my phone and then carried on my day as normal, I think I got to under 200,000 in the queue at one point! My sister managed to get through to choosing tickets but was only given the option for standing at £350 each so for 3 of them it would have cost over £1,000, she decided to give it a miss.
Ticketmaster have come in for some flack and heard lots of stories of people being kicked out at the last minute but for me the main issue was the dynamic pricing and that was down to the band, it's a massive PR own goal for them, although they probably won't care with the money it's brought in

My Son signed in at 7.30. At 10am he was 242,000 in the queue. At 1115 he was 110,000 then he got blocked off the site. He quickly logged back in and was 275,000 but tickets were still available. He gave up and in answer to your question I know of no-one who has a ticket. Personally I am gutted

Personally I thought £150 to stand in a field was over-priced but would have paid that, however I certainly wouldn't have paid £350 The last few years I've got into a lot of unknown/unsigned bands and events like this make me glad I have, it's nice to go to a gig where you don't feel fleeced. I'm going to a festival this weekend, 2 day event, approx 30 bands, £60.

We did see one half of them a while back when Noel Gallagher's high flying birds headlined at a festival. They put on a good set actually with a few of the old Oasis favourites thrown in.

If someone offered me a ticket to go for free I'd go, but wouldnt pay for it nor jump through so many hoops to do it.
'Only' Paid £150 to see AC/DC at Wembley in July. Wasnt going to but came into some unexpected money and my group still had 1 ticket left so decided to go a week before. Enjoyed it but would most certainly be a 1 off.
Far too much money, far too much hastle.

I quite liked Oasis back in the day but Blur were better.
They still are.
Better music.
Better people.
Hasbeens profiteering makes me feel a bit sad. Like a bit of your youth is tainted. It is never about the fans or the people or giving us one last chance to hear the band.

Going to be on the pitch at Wembley on 2 August 2025! Absolutely elated.
Looking forward to being there without having to suffer through Town losing a football match!
