With the gloom and doom around STFC. I thought I'd would switch things up by asking you all what makes you happy/ smiley / laugh? The song Happy The film of Jerry lee Lewis played so well by Dennis quaid , he is stage playing great balls of fire and sets the piano on fire Watching people dance to a boozy woggie music, the moves and foot work can be mesmerising Eric and Ernie Porridge the TV series Been with the family .The banter at a town game with the fans around me .hard frost on a field and the crunch as you walk on it and eveeything is so quiet you could be the only person awake. Sun sets over the sea, sleeping near a beach were you can hear and smell the sea, the smell of honeysuckle. Watching a bumble bee fly , watching chickens they have real personalities, when the moon is red, when you get an amazing sunset,Going to Church our vicar is a big sci fi fan so something usually gets included

At the grandkids today.lots of fun, food and dogs. Followed by a quiet evening at home with my lovely wife and just the one dog. Then tea and chocolate in bed watching the TV.
I'm easily pleasedππ

Running! Whether that's a slow muddy plod round the fields by my house, a gentle parkrun or a balls out half marathon, I just love the headspace. Nothing I've ever experienced comes even half way close to the chilled out joy it brings me.
I'll be running my 11th Great North Run in two weeks, I've done six marathons, three ultra marathons and almost 300 races in the last 13 years, that's roughly one a fortnight over that period. To say it's a passion that's gripped me would be an understatement of humongous proportions, there's literally nothing that life can throw at you that doesn't feel better after a run. Pretty much the only thing I'd miss football for.

Obviously spending time with my wife (just in case she's watching!)
Similar thoughts on running, got into it approx 15 years ago as a way of losing a bit of weight. I go early mornings, it's a good way to start the day and de-stress, certainly a lot more healthier than a night in the pub, although that still can be good!
But my main passion in recent years has become music and gigs, it's probably overtaken football in fact and I now consider a spending a few hours listening to live music my happy place.

Being with friends especially when sharing a meal.
Knowing that my husband. children and grandson are safe and happy is the most important things that keep me serene and happy.

A decent fishing trip. Preferably overnight.
Hearing the kids laugh.

Queue for the Metro back to start was only 20 mins shorter than it took us to run the 13.1 miles and we weren't quick. We loved the Great South Run which we did 10 times

Seeing family happy, which makes it tough at the moment when step son isn't talking to us and we don't know why?

Booking a holiday.
It doesn't matter if it's a bucket list one or just a few days away, it always gives us a boost especially if it's booked in the middle of Winter when it's just miserable outside.

Jun ji hyn a Korean actress dancing in a laundry.
It is just a dance clip on tick tock but it always makes me smile. So if I'm having a bad day, it's one of the things I watch.

Yep, most of my holidays and breaks are during the crap weather autumn to spring months. A few days of blue skies and a bit of sunshine brightens the mood no end. 2024 has been just so particularly dull, cloudy and rainy. Worse than most other years.
