Being a loyal Shrewsbury fan living in a foreign land, I find B & A a very useful forum and enjoy most of threads. It keeps me informed of injury issues, who we are trying to sign, tactical debates and recommendations for improving the club etc, and, like I have already stated, I enjoy most of the threads.
But, what is really starting to annoy me, is how nearly single fecking thread is turned into a pro / anti Chairman argument! We know who supports the Chairman and who doesn’t and I understand the frustration on both sides but why do I have to skip three pages of comments about a player, coach, possible signing, injury because someone started an pro / anti Chairman rant. Is RW going to make our CB’s any faster, is he going teach Bloxham how to track back or cross a ball, is he going to coach Shipley to stop doing impressions of the invisible man, no he isn’t. Yet somehow, someone will get RW involved in the thread. RW doesn’t play for us and, has by my reckoning, never played for us, and yet a thread about a players performance will somehow involve an RW comment.
We know the situation we are in, and the situation isn’t going to change for a while. So let us try to get together and support the team on the pitch and leave RW in the stands for a few weeks.

Thanks for this. I awoke this morning and over coffee looked on this site and instead of a thread about the Fulham game the carping was still going on with two or more of our regular members. It was entertaining last night. You won't get any mention from me sir and thank you again. We are on the same page

So let us try to get together and support the team on the pitch and leave RW in the stands for a few weeks. I acknowledge that seeing every match thread descending into a Roland debate will become tedious and perhaps they should get moved to an off topic or Roland debate thread (and yes I know I've been guilty of getting involved so would apply to me too). I don't want to get into another Roland debate because of the irony of that happening on this thread! But just to bring up this point, it's something I've seen a lot over the years but to be honest I've never understood it, the whole "just concentrate on supporting the lads". Yes I do that for 90 minutes on a Saturday but what am I supposed to do in the meantime? Personally I see no issue with supporting the team for 90 minutes and then questioning the chairman, manager or players on a messageboard afterwards, albeit, and going back to your original point, if you want to debate the future ownership of the football club, don't do it on a match thread

I've not heard one person say the club does everything right. I've heard several say everything is wrong. Unfair imo

At this point in time I feel for Paul Hurst. Paul Hurst is arguably one of the most fortunate managers in the football league. He gets a job in L1 after being sacked from L2 clubs, and he now finds himself in a position where if results/performances are poor then fans are likely to turn on the DoF and/or Chairman before turning on him. Yes he's got a difficult job but he he knew that when he took it.

Reason I bumped the old thread on this topic, was to try and keep all these type of posts to one thread - that's surely a better idea than starting this (another) thread thread about the topic!! I might be wrong but I think the guy who started this thread intended it to be a pleasant thread aiming to gather support to get behind the chairman and the club what I'll do is add any negative posts to the negative thread

Great thread.
The fact the thread I started about Marosi very soon turned into a RW debate which was quite impressive.
I think a dedicated RW discussion thread (better yet a sub-forum) is a great idea and would be healthy for the board.
