Could be another wild game if we are willing to go mano el mano with the standard attacking team of Peterborough.
Certainly give our back 4 a real test.
3-2 town. Salop salop salop.

They haven't got going this year yet. 2 2-0 losses so no goals so they will really want to get up and going tomorrow.
Can be a very cyclical team as they sell their best players and this summer was a changeover point it feels. Lost some big players in Edwards, Mason-Clark, Clarke-Harris, Knight & Burrows. But raised about £10m in the process. And replaced with 5 debutants last weekend and another 2 during the week.
Not convinced they will do as well as last season given that level of outgoings, but will still probably do fairly well.
Good test for towns first home league game. Definitely need Tuesdays Second half performance.
Compared to last week v Stevanage - expect Morgan Feeney to come in for Pierre. Otherwise probably the same. Not sure Biggins or Kayode did enough

Good time to play them. No doubt with the money they have received for players they will have decent new ones who will take time to settle. Fancy us 1-0. Benning blockbuster.

Fancy kayode over marquis...more mobile, and more of a threat, marquis to come on after 60/70 mins

Ricky-Jade Jones is one of the fastest players I have seen in League 1 (and he gave our defence lots of problems in our home game with them last year). We need to press high and dominate the midfield to stop the supply to their quick forwards. I do think we look a bit more of a goal threat ourselves than last year (admittedly not a high bar) and in the spirit of early season optimism I am predicting a 2-1 win for Salop.

A Town win in a 5 goal thriller, with the South stand bouncing as we score the winner in the 93rd minute!
5,570 in attendance.

As Brian Clough said don't care about the opposition just go out there and do your job.
If the defence holds true (it may not) there is enough quality in attack now to cause any team visiting the Meadow.

Both teams start this game with no points, but town do have the win against county, I really hope we see the team who turned up for the second half play for 90 minutes, we can expected an attacking threat from posh, I hope Hurst has found a way to give the center backs some extra protection. Town will have to work hard and press all over the park to get something from this game

So important to get a win early doors this season. Can give the team huge confidence. I’m going for a 2-1 win!

I’ll be interested to see whether Chris Conn-Clarke from Alty has been able to make the step up.

A Town win in a 5 goal thriller, with the South stand bouncing as we score the winner in the 93rd minute! 5,570 in attendance. Given the fact that all 3600 season ticket holders are counted as being there and that Posh travel in numbers, I would be amazed at anything less than 6000-6500.

I’ll be interested to see whether Chris Conn-Clarke from Alty has been able to make the step up. Didn't realise he'd had a spell with Waterford alongside Tunmise last year. Not great stats there, and has only ever really scored goals with Alty. Although is only 22

I just hope to see Nsiala on the bench. Pierre and Feeney for me. I also like the look of Lloyd up top. Exactly what you need in a lone striker.
