Anyone else feel that the whole squad lacks pace and not just the defence? Notts Co and P'boro at home has seen us overrun in the centre of the pitch? Not debating that Rossiter, Biggins & co arent good but teams are able to move the ball round and make runs through our midfield. Thats then not aided with the lack of mobility from Pierre and aging of Toto who isnt as quick as we remember.

I think a lot of us were hoping the last loan place would be filled by a striker but needs must. We've got to be far more difficult to beat and Nsiala and Pierre together are clearly not going to hack it.

We're going down quickly if we continue with Pierre and Nsiala, I understand not wanting another CB ideally as you have two injured ones but this Pierre, Nsiala experiment needs to end.

No chance weβll bring in another striker with Marquis, Kayode and Lloyd all in the building especially as we generally only play one of them. Personally I think weβre woefully short at centre half, right back, and centre mid cover for Winchester and Rossiter. However we use that last loan thereβs going to be huge holes in the squad in key areas.

Yes, there are holes all over the squad, particularly as we have too many players with poor injury records.

Was thinking the last loan spot could be a right side full back, winger - as who's covering Hoole for the whole season?
The way its being talked about defensive cover, I wonder if its going to be a permeant defensive addtion.

I didnβt go on Tuesday but it seems that B&A posters are a much better judge of a GK than Man United scouts π [ I was told by a former top level player who was our coach that you are only as good as your last game. He then qualified that by saying if you have a run of decent performances, then when the inevitable dip comes along, you have earned some leeway. Following the logic in this, you need a good start and to be able to bank some credit. The problem with having a bad start is that one of a keeperβs biggest enemies - confidence takes a hammering and it then becomes a long way back. I was pleased with Toby Savinβs display on Saturday and now he needs to build on that.

Not a lot the lad could do with any other the goals also when your defence goes into Kamakaze mode 10 mins to the end

As I've said on other threads there doesn't need to be a 'last loan spot', it's just that you can only name 5 in a matchday squad. If Feeney especially is out longer term there is absolutely no harm in having 6 loan players. They did it last season when Thorpe got injured, and even then dont think they ever used all 5 spots in a squad

Feeney has a mystery Knee injury. Nothing coming up on scans but he is complaining of pain.
Where have we seen that before?

This is when the pain is felt in a part of the body that isn't the injured part because of our interconnected nervous system. As an example I'm waiting for a hip replacement operation,I don't have pain in my hip but a lot in my left knee to such a degree that I'm having to use a frame to get around

For example I can't go to any matches until after my operation as I cannot sit in one position for very long and I doubt that I would be allowed to bring my walking frame into the ground πππ©π Still with the current form its clouds and silver linings..hey ho π

You can be slow physically yet quick mentally to read the game. Sadly the back 4 is neither.

Even with a walking frame you might get a place on the bench, probably still give Nsiala and Pierre a run for their money over 100mts.

Shame we havenβt got players like Bomber Williams and Tommy Lynch who would put their head in front of a player shooting to prevent a goal. Thou shall not score. Loved those sort of players.

Gallows humour at its best On a serious note though, was Nsiala ever that quick?
