Interestingly I was speaking to a local landlord yesterday and he told me that Sky want an extra £2000 per year to show SS + (which inc our 20 games).
Sky have advertised it for businesses and institute of innkeepers but no mention of the charge. That’s really bad.
No additional cost to us at home so why penalise businesses who are struggling enough in a cost of living crisis.
On the flip side. Anyone know which bars are showing our game tomorrow?

Interesting. With regards all the comments about Smithy's - why isn't it showing it?

Sky is no friend of football, the fans or any pub landlord.

Pubs showing the game I know of in Shrews:
Bull in the Barne Inn on the Green Shelton Cricket Club
Ollie at the Salopian said they will have it in by end of August for those set of matches but not for today.
I live SY3 so I guess these are all pretty close to me, if you know others shout up.

I am also going to be out...
I have Sky Sport vis BT/EE through their Big Sports package. I will be out during the game, any idea how I can get this on my phone. I have tried through the app but it asks me to subscribe?

I have tried through the app but it asks me to subscribe? try subscribing ;-) seriously I think thats what you might have to do, there is a new app but no idea if it only works for the main sky box subscriber as opposed to the legit freeloaders or those like yourself watching sky sports via a 3rd party deal

I’m freeloading, think it only works with a full Sky subscription that allows signing on with up to 5 devices, username and password then works as long as your not ‘oversubscribed’

It works via a NowTv sky sports subscription too by the way. Can watch via Now TV app either on device or on TV. Worked fine when I've tuned into some EFL matches so far

Firstly, that their extra investment in EFL is to attract subscribers. If it is easy for pubs, social clubs etc to show games less people will subscribe. Secondly, they would argue that if people don't want to subscribe and are instead watching games in a pub more frequently (due to increased number of games on for all teams), then it is a clear boost to profits and they want a share. Unfortunately there's not much room for altruism with profit-hungry megaliths.
