Yep. I started a similar thread this morning and then realised it was already mentioned in the thread about Ex Town players staying put/on the move.

Left Rangers for the sunnier climes of Limassol in Cyprus.🇨🇾 If Connor returned to the Town he could still have the occasional day out at Borth. Courtesy of Vaggs Motors?

Are Vaggs coaches still in business?
Pete Vagg played bass in the band I mentioned in the Music Hall thread.

I never made the main choir but did join what they called The Small Choir for Verdis Requiem when they needed a bass section 😅 Big performance at the Music Hall

That pscho Priestley put me off classical music for years. I got caned by CWEP for calling Priestly a bully when he was hitting my friend with his violin bow.

Evidently so; Vincent certainly had his own methods, which included only slightly pulled punches in my stomach, which I chose to ignore as he had correctly identified my misdemeanours. Definitely not acceptable nowadays - nor probably then, either. As I progressed through the choir, watching him scare the living daylights of the Trebles with his obviously faked anger episodes became a source of levity for those who had "been there".. The choir, at its best, was arguably the finest schoolboy one in the UK, although that shouldn't be used as justification; I thoroughly enjoyed every moment

Quite surprised he couldn't get any better than a club in Cyprus that didn't even qualify for Europe. Their only other British player was signed from Stratford Town. Really odd one.

As art students we were on the top floor of the Wakeman (Wakeperson now?). The 11-plus was evil.

A common misconception that we were "posh" at the Priory - this ordinary Castlefields lad was far from it!!

The 'posh' thing was irritating. I wasn't academic and only wanted to play football which wasn't allowed at the Priory.
I was surprised and horrified at passing the 11+ and begged my parents not to send me there. However, from a working class family (my Dad left school at 14) they were adamant I had to take the opportunity.
Hated it for the most part and leaving was one of the best days of my life.
