It’s literally just down the road from me. The couple who were in the car have just been named and two of their children were there.
It’s all so very sad.

Hope it wasn't down to a ropey old Ford Focus with defects. So very sad. The go fund for the 11 year old now an orphan, who wasn't in the car, is up to over £250000, obviously no compensation of course for her sad loss.
The couple who were on the motorbike have now been named. What a dreadful Sunday afternoon that turned out to be. RIP.
You have to feel for the emergency services who turn up to scenes of carnage like this.

Allot of crashes everyday now, just in my work had 3 alone all from teen drivers
Then 3 on motorbikes who seem to have a challenge of who can overtake the most cars on a corner been called out by multiple people and they just laugh saying how slow people drive

I did wonder if there had been a fire but no details have been released. The road is still closed while they are still investigating.

My daughter is a paramedic and the job does take a toal on them,as it does for the firebrigaed abd the police. The technology of safety in cars has enabled people to survive car accidents that they would not have done ten years ago, whilst all the recent wars have been terrible, emergency trauma care interventions from battlefield trauma has resulted in a number of new interventions that saves lives. There are no words for such a terrible tragedy and the legacy it will leave for the surviving child and the family's who lost loved ones

If they do find the Porsche driver to be responsible, he will have a lot in his conscience. If it is him the son of the moteribke rider will not have to carry the burden that his father / mother were responsible.

Exactly. It’s a turn of events that no one expected I think.

Exactly. It’s a turn of events that no one expected I think. No wonder the road was closed for so long. The accident investigators may be able to piece together anything from a tyre mark to a fleck of paint or a wing mirror to ensure the right outcome is achieved. Investigators were probably too late for an alcohol test, but if the Porche driver had any sort of latent drug evidence in his system it could have a huge bearing on a jury in any future trial. There may be one or two "bad apples" in the police service, but the emergency work and painstaking investigation work they do every day is amazing.

With what he may be feeling at the moment it's probably just as important to establish his innocence, if that is the case, as his guilt.
