just seen the honours list some great sporting names recognised but I am a bit surprised no cricketers have been honoured(unless I missed it ) unbeaten in 13 tests is pretty good going news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/4136323.s

Dont get me started SIR IAN BOTHAM Why has this not happened. OK he was a bit of a lad, but as a Cricketer and Fundraiser, Second to none. Perhaps he should have been a nice boy and an average Cricketer, like, Sir Richard Hadlee. Who, I hear you say. Well we have to keep the colonials happy.

Don't give a monkeys for the list myself, but Richard Hadlee was more than an 'average' cricketer!
Makes me laugh when hell raisers from my youth like Mick Jagger and Roger Daltry roll over to have their tummies tickled - 'hope I die before I get old', yeah right.
It'll be Lord Johnny Rotten next.

Forgot to add IAN BOTHAM got an OBE years ago. My point about Botham was surely if someone like Richard Hadlee is knighted why not Ian.
